A Glossary

Originally published in 1822, this glossary was compiled over forty years as a pastime of the author, a scholar and clergyman. It began as a private reference tool for obsolete English words commonly encountered in Elizabethan literature, but was eventually published and reprinted many times during the nineteenth century.
