Ballet of Violence

Monte Gerlach approached professional wrestling as if he was photographing dancers. As in ballet, the wrestlers' movements are choreographed, the performances are scripted, and the crowd is enthusiastic. This is old-school wrestling from 1980s featuring many hall of fame wrestlers, photographed with an artistic twist.
