Han har været prisvindende tv-vært på Eleva2ren og Go’ morgen Danmark og storforbruger af kvindelige medværter. Han har spredt sig over alle dele af tv-produktion, fra kritiske dokumentarprogrammer til folkelig underholdning. Og i alle årene er det gået stærkt.Da han i en alder af 53 år blev smidt ud af TV 2, besluttede han at starte forfra. Som 60-årig meldte han sig under de politiske faner, og to år senere sprængte han opstillingslisten, da han fik så mange personlige stemmer ved kommunalvalget, at han røg fra sidstepladsen på den konservative liste til en fjerdeplads.
