Tina M. Brown, a beautiful fifteen year old student from Chicago, Illinois, visited her grandmother, Hazel Brown, in Hicksville, Mississippi. Tina failed to heed the counsels of her wise grandmother, became involved with Dennis Thomas, and experienced hardship and bitterness. As a result, Tina became a single mother by giving birth to twin boys.
