Les Cinquantes Sonnets is the first book by poet Kelechukwu Brnfre (www.kelechukwubrnfre.com) This is my first book of poetry that includes my signature poem "e;Zero."e;I wrote this book as a gift to my fiancee at the time for her birthday. I wrote 34 poems for her 34th birthday in the form of Sonnets. I was reading Shakespeare at the time and I was inspired by his sonnets but I formed all of these poems in 16 lines because her favorite number was 16. The first 34 poems were influenced by her and the last 17 poems were influenced by a mixture of people, emotions and situations.I am very thankful for Erica Walker reading it over and encouraging me to make all of last 17 stay consistent with a theme of love, a subject I struggle to write about because it is so subjective. Loving a family member or your children is different from a person you are involved with intimately in a relationship. The format of this book starts with zero and goes to fifty. I used French because I am bilingual French and it seemed to fit the scheme and format of the subject matter in the book.

8 days on the Delaware River: A Trip To Remember, is about a fishing and camping adventure complete by Author Paul Donovan and his fishing buddy Ray Labarre. The trip was talked about for about 18 years and finally occurred in May 2006. The 120 mile trip started in Hancock, NY and was to end at Kittatinny Beach in Delaware Water Gap, PA Rays 14 foot aluminum boat had taken us up and down the Delaware River many times over those 18 years, but generally in the National Park area in and above the Delaware Water Gap. This time, fully loaded for a week in the outdoors, we were venturing North in waters that are better suited for canoes. The eight-day adventure covered low rocky water situations as well as some rather fast scary rapids as we enjoyed fantastic sights along the scenic Upper and Middle Delaware Rivers areas. There was an emergency room visit, shopping for a new oar, naturally a few fishing stories and a truly unexpected 'boat ride' that kept us moving along. With some stories from past trips and the experiences of this trip all relayed day by day, chapter by chapter, you will enjoy. . . . . . . 8 Days on the Delaware River: A Trip To Remember.

This book is a follow-up to 48 Dog-Friendly Trails in Californias Foothills and the Sierra Nevada, published by AuthorHouse in 2008. In keeping with the first books structure, there are four trailheads described for each month of the year to encourage year-round outdoor excursions. In some cases, there are multiple trail choices from a single trailhead so everyone can find an outing suitable to their groups individual needs. Trails are all dog friendly, with some providing off-leash opportunities. Many of the trails are also suitable for joggers, mountain bikers, and equestrians. A table at the back of the book identifies the usage for each trail. You will also find information as to which trails feature great views, swimming, family access, fishing, and other activities. Listening to readers feedback from the first book, with the new book the focus is in finding more obscure trails so even the most experienced enthusiast will find new places to explore. There are also maps for trails with difficult descriptions. Trails are still rated from 1 (easiest) to 5 (most difficult), but with this book you will find more trails with a 4 and 5 rating. Still there are easy options for each month, but overall there are more challenging opportunities.
When Gene Stallings came to Texas A & M in December of 1964, there were a lot of players that were just eating their way through school. Dude McLean Class of 1965 **********When we went through spring workouts in 1965 there were a few turds that should not have been out there and we would hit them hard and try to run them off. John Nilson Class of 1966 **********After the first game under Coach Stallings in 1965 against LSU .. We ran over 100 wind sprints of around 100 yards each and this killed our legs for the rest of the season. Ronnie Lindsey Class of 1967We ran 100yard dashes for over an hour on Monday and people were falling out and puking on the track and then getting in line to go again. Don Keohn Class of 1967We ran about 100 or so wind sprints around 100 yards each and my rear end did not catch up with my body for three weeks! Grady Allen Class of 1968 **********During the PE 317 wrestling and drills I thought to myself, it is not so much that what we are doing, but what we are accomplishing. Tom Murrah Class of 1966 **********If you associate with a quitter, you will develop the attitude of a quitter! The personal theme of Coach Gene Stallings comes from the Bible; There is nothing better for a man to eat and drink and tell himself that his labor is good. This also I have seen is form the hand of God. Ecclesiastes 2:24. Gene Stallings Head Coach **********When Coach Stallings arrived on campus it was the most impressive year of my life because I was just a dumb country boy and it changed my whole personality. In the area of ballpark hopping, there have been a number of accounts written, recorded or talked about in recent times, sometimes for a cause or others just as a gimmick. Through Poet in the Grandstand, poet and writer Thomas Porky McDonald gives us a most unique twist on a preoccupation which has grown in the past few decades, in the wake of the closings of classic old yards and the birth of the more entertainment and nostalgia driven open-air parks. From his first trip in 1990, to the fabled Comiskey Park of Shoeless Joe Jackson, Bill Veeck and the Go-Go Sox, on through to the 2010 opening of Minnesotas fabulous Target Field, featuring the modern M&M Boys, Joe Mauer and Justin Mourneau, McDonald offers up a book that is part travelogue and part poetic tribute to all the places that men and women have gone to over the years for a very personal sense of joy. This journey, done methodically, over two decades, picks up steam as the chapters begin to flow. The effect of McDonald himself clearly growing as a poet through the years is accentuated by the fact that more and more pieces are written in the later trips. The end result is a most interesting volume of not just ballparks, but Americana, as numerous attractions taken in during those ballpark weeks and weekends are also noted and/or dissected. For fourteen seasons on his own and then six more accompanied by friend and confidant Adam Boneker, McDonalds travels, highlighted by over 300 poems, can take the reader back to a simpler time or into the possibilities of the future. In chapter and in verse, Poet in the Grandstand has something for both the baseball enthusiast and the curious traveler. Fans of the game and lovers of the road will each find much to offer within these pages.

We all ride the white line, whether on a bicycle or in daily life. To our left is the smooth pavement where traffic is heavy, speed is up, and people are in a hurry. To our right is the shoulder which, while safer and slower, is often littered with gravel, broken glass, and the occasional pothole. Most of us choose to ride a white line existence: in the flow of traffic but within easy reach of the cluttered shoulder. Along the way, we are affected by and also impact the pedestrians of life that we meet and interact with. With several long distance fund raising bicycle trips as a backdrop, Mick speaks to some of the positive values in life. Through the pedestrians he meets and the values they live out, Mick explores some of these values. Pedaling along the white line of life, while dangerous, is also rewarding. Certainly the pedestrians one meets are worth every revolution.
