Biblen over alle bibler for lystfiskere.
Bill Calfee has been working with guns since the 1970s and decided to focus on the 22 rimfire beginning in the 1980s. Since the 1980s Bill has had many ideas on how to improve the accuracy of the 22 rimfire, some ideas have increased the accuracy potential tremendously and some ideas proved out to be learning experiences for future ideas. Since about 2001 Bill has tried to capture his ideas, experiments, testing, and conclusions by writing about them. He has written about the successes that increased accuracy as well as the ideas that didnt improve accuracy. Although Bill is not a writer, he felt compelled to pass along the knowledge that he has obtained in the spirit of improving the accuracy of the 22 rimfire benchrest guns for everyone that has like goals. He has shared his writings previously with the benchrest community through different avenues. In this book, all of Bills writings are assembled in a chronological order to show the evolution of the accuracy of the 22rf as he has experienced it. He goes into detail about each aspect of rimfire accuracy discussing all of the components and their contribution to the improved accuracy. This book is a must have for everyone that is serious about increasing the accuracy in their 22 rimfire guns.

Pat Neal has a problem. It's not gambling, drinking, or sex. His addiction comes in the form of the salmon and steelhead that swim in the rainforest rivers of the Olympic Peninsula. As a child, he was diagnosed with a severe case of fishing attention deficit disorder (FADD), a disease that plagues him to this day. Of his fellow fishing enthusiasts, Neal notes: "e;People with fishing problems may spend inordinate amounts of time talking about their disease, even if they do show up for work. Most anglers are in complete denial over how much they spend on fishing until other members of the family start whining about food or shoes."e; Based upon the ever-popular Lord's Prayer, The Fisherman's Prayer has been reformulated for today's modern fishing conditions and is not limited to the water. The Fisherman's Prayer works on all species of fresh and saltwater game fish. Don't go fishing without a prayer!
A comprehensive book on hunting whitetails with a bow. Loaded with information, this book has something for everyone from novice to veteran. Topics include selecting the right bow, gaining familiarity with whitetails, learning what drives whitetails, kill zones on a whitetail, styles of hunting, trailing and recovering whitetails, effective strategies and tactics, and how to hunt and harvest a nocturnal buck during legal shooting hours. Over forty pictures are included in the book.
Whitetails are fascinating game animals. Here is a collection of deer hunting stories and pictures that have been accumulated over four decades. Some tales are joyous triumphs while others teach valuable lessons. However, every single one is a fond memory and cherished adventure. Each episode illustrates an aspect of whitetail behavior that equips the hunter with more knowledge to successfully harvest these elusive creatures on future hunts.
In their formative years, whitetails develop an intimate relationship with their environment. Thereafter, these big game animals resonate in perfect harmony with their specific surroundings. Behavior patterns of timberland, mountain bred, prairie flats and farm country deer vary substantially. Whitetails behave differently depending on where they are hunted. Predominantly, habitat dictates habits and routines in daily activity. Deer patterns become relatively uniform and reasonably predictable in any particular region. Irrespective of where they live, all whitetails become creatures of habit.Dragan Vujic has hunted whitetails extensively in the checkered agricultural belts scattered along both sides of the border between Canada and the United States. He shares forty years of hunting experience in this informative book. Initially, Dragan examines and explores the common characteristics of farm country deer. Subsequently, he enumerates and analyzes the drivers and motivators of whitetail behavior. Thereafter, having integrated all of the relevant information, the author suggests several effective strategies for harvesting farm country whitetails. firstname.lastname@example.org
Welcome to Canada-home of the big bucks. Whitetail monarchs freely roam through the hardwood forests and crop fields in the checkered agricultural belt of this vast land. Heredity endows our deer with large bodies and matching massive antlers, but environment dictates behavior. Canadian whitetails are different and behave differently from their southern brethren. No matter where you have hunted before, deer hunting in Canada is a brand new game. Your old, tried-and-true ways will not work here. New tactics and strategies are required.Veteran hunter, Dragan Vujic, shares close to forty years of hunting experience in this comprehensive book on Canadian Whitetail Hunting. The book itself is divided into three parts-The Facts About Canadian Whitetails (general information, game laws, social structure, habitat, communication, breeding behavior, anatomy, kill zones), Critical Factors That Determine Canadian Whitetail Behavior (weather, phases of the moon, hunting pressure, time of year, scents, doe to buck ratios, time of day, food sources), Effective Canadian Whitetail Hunting Strategies (archers, snipers, stalkers, callers, drivers, blockers). Within these sections, Dragan Vujic covers all of the key components for hunting whitetails in Canada. Additional chapters include tactics for all situations, the recently new phenomenon of hunting deer in the suburbs and tracking wounded whitetails. email@example.com
Dragan Vujic describes in detail how he hunted the same buck on the same property for six years. Year by year, he relates the lessons learned, the equipment and set-ups employed, the places hunted, the other bucks harvested, the strategies and tactics utilized. After the fourth season, the buck went nocturnal. A new game plan had to be formulated. Finally, in the sixth year, Dragan Vujic put an arrow through a majestic monarch of the wild. It was an exhilarating experience and a valuable education in the art of whitetail hunting.
Calling is the art of deception. One creates a false, but convincing, illusion. There are many methods of calling. This is old knowledge that is currently being rediscovered by modern science. Whitetails rely on three primary sensory systems for survival-auditory, visual and olfactory. Therefore, they can be tricked on any of these levels. The main objective of any form of calling is to manipulate a deer to approach within comfortable shooting distance. This book offers techniques and tactics for luring in whitetails. It illustrates how to fool all three senses of the whitetail.

Although his typewriter has been silent for nearly fifty years, Gordon MacQuarrie's words continue to inspire generations of hunting and fishing enthusiasts. Through his "e;Stories of the Old Duck Hunters,"e; most of which are still in print, MacQuarrie captured the intangible, emotional qualities of the outdoor life in a way that made him unique among his peers. As a result, his audience and his legend continue to grow. Gordon MacQuarrie: The Story of an Old Duck Hunter is the first full-length biography of this literary legend. It explores the relationships he nurtured and treasured; records his coming of age during Theodore Roosevelt's Conservation Movement; documents his rise to national prominence as the first full-time, professional outdoor writer in America; and follows his life as journalist, storyteller, husband, father, outdoorsman, and conservationist. Complete with rarely seen photographs and a comprehensive timeline of his writings, this book is a fitting companion to MacQuarrie's own Stories of the Old Duck Hunters anthologies.

Craig Raleigh puts hunting into modern perspective, combining higher sensibilities and his firsthand insight into the hunting world to gently illuminate a part of human nature that was, and still is, among the purest of human endeavors. Jim Shockey,award-winning writer and host of Jim Shockeys Hunting Adventures and UnchartedA thoughtful appreciation of hunting and a celebration of the outdoors that illuminates the hunters psyche, role, and influence on our culture."e;As we began to set foot in the outdoors we didnt expect to learn something beyond where the deer were running or where the ducks were flying. Once we realized what these creatures really wanted, it was the opening of truth for us as hunters."e;A long-time hunter and fisherman and senior writer at Wide Open Spaces, Craig Raleigh has spent most of the last forty-five years of his life trying to find that elusive Holy Grail of hunting, that unimagined outdoor reality where ones training, instinct, and experience converge into extraordinary bliss and accomplishment. He is the first to admit, that this does not entail the capture of a deer or an ever-evasive pheasant. It is the freedom to give back to the outdoors as much as one takes from it. For hunters, a life lived in the outdoors is massively rewarding and offers non-stop pleasures. It comes with the love of camaraderie, choice, and reward, and provides a deep appreciation for the nature world. The Hunters Way is his meditative and philosophical journey into the soul of a hunter. Divided into four parts that mirror the hunting experiencethe background, the preparation, the hunt, and the harvestit addresses the paradox of hunting as conservationism, ruminates on the failures and successes of hunting as sport and as a way of life, and reveals how hunting influences our society. As Raleigh explains, the hunt is so much more than the kill. Most often, the hunter leaves the woods and fields empty-handed. Rather, the beauty of hunting is in the experience itself. As a hunter, you are constantly looking for clues. Yet in nature, signs are changeable, confusing, and never the same the second time. A captivating synthesis of On Trails, Norwegian Wood, and Shop Class as Soulcraft, The Hunters Way is a literary reflection and love letter to the value of hunting as both sport and way of life.

Is there a cure for snook fever?"e;I've landed plenty of snook with a light bait-casting outfit. Don't fish for snook any other way. You can cane pole 'em with heavy lines off piers and bridges, or troll for 'em. But I like to scrub the bushes and make 'em hit top-water plugs."e; This was how Cal Stone introduced the author to light tackle fishing many decades ago in the waters of south Florida.Steer through twisted mangrove channels, dodge "e;noggin-knockers"e; and oyster bars on outgoing tides, and join author Max Hunn as he brawls with tarpon and tangles with snook and redfish, mostly in the Ten Thousand Islands country.
