Anders de la Motte er forholdsvis ny, men meget populær i skandinavisk krimilitteratur. Han var i sine teenager år i værnepligt og har tidligere også været politimand. Han bor i den lille øresundsby Lomma i Skåne, 40 minutters bilkørsel fra København, hvor han også har arbejdet i en årrække. Forfatteren skriver sine bøger på hoteller rundt omkring i verden, hvor hans ideer opstår, de få gange han får ro.
