Allow Me to Change - The Basics, is meant to give you an overview of the life lessons that I've experienced, share the knowledge that directed me to reach out for something greater, and give you some basic tools that will help you create change in your life.

My Grandaddy was one of the best cooks ever. He did not have any formal training in the kitchen. He learned to cook by cooking. I remember him being in the kitchen and just putting ingredients together without a recipe and it turned out to be delicious. My Granny would sit in the kitchen telling him what to cook and what to add to the differrent dishes. He would follow her directions, changing them without her knowing. But he would always give the credit to her for all the rave reviews of all the wonderful food that came from his kitchen.

My Granny never used a cookbook or recipe. She always wrote her own. She would write on pieces of paper, the backs of envelopes, napkins and anything that she could find to write down cooking instructions. When she dies, my mother inhereted all of these pieces of paper with recipes and she put them away in a drawer. When she dies, we found all of these wonderful recipes from our childhood and decided to honor Granny by putting her love of food into a cookbook dedicated to her.
