In this first part of this Gaby mini series our very confused hero, or should that be heroine, joins Maddy and Aunt Carol for a summer break in Dorsetshire. Of course, whether its Gaby or even Drew that can only mean one thing, well possibly more than that but anyhow there's the usual mixture of teenage angst, cycling and exploration when Gaby Heads South!
Zak, or rather Trixie, has settled into life as a Goth Gurl, with a full time job and even a bit of a social life. But as sure as the sun rising in the east each day, life doesn't stand still and a Goth Gurl can have dreams...In this tome life as Trixiebell Heartswoon moves up a gear with a trip to Germany for the Asquith siblings to take part in the WGT Goth festival in Leipzig.
The fourth book in the Gaby series - Drew and the gang head across the Atlantic to Grottoes VA. More fun, romance and cycling from the gang from Warsop!Notes on this volumeSince the First Edition hit the presses back in 2007 a further twenty one volumes of Gaby have seen the light of day along with countless shorts and fanfics based around our hapless hero and his/her friends. As the plot has developed, one or two inconsistences have crept in or been brought to light which hopefully have been corrected in this volume. This has meant a few passages have been changed, a name here, syntax there along with a host of missing punctuation and grammatical errors which escaped the First and Second Edition editing. It was never the intention to rewrite the volume and you'll find the general flow unchanged. However I hope that this Third Edition is a smoother read and that you'll enjoy this re-edited version.
The exchange visit is here - can Drew keep Gaby hidden from the Americans?Since the First Edition hit the presses back in 2006 a further twenty three volumes of Gaby have seen the light of day along with countless shorts and fanfics based around our hapless hero and his/her friends. As the plot has developed one or two inconsistences have crept in or been brought to light which hopefully have been corrected in this volume.
After all the excitement in the first volume things take an even darker turn as Gaby's arch nemesis, Meadows moves things to a whole new level. On a lighter note, friendships deepen and the Dorset 'gang' enjoy more of the summer.
With the family moving to Germany things for young Bond get a bit interesting. Bits is a collection of short vignettes covering the first few months of the Bonds time in Germany - does Gaby make an appearance? you better believe it!Since the First Edition hit the presses back in 2008 a further twenty volumes of Gaby have seen the light of day along with countless shorts and fanfics based around our hapless hero and his/her friends. As the plot has developed, one or two inconsistences have crept in or been brought to light which hopefully have been corrected in this volume. This has meant a few passages have been changed, a name here, syntax there along with a host of missing punctuation and grammatical errors which escaped the First Edition editing. Of course, all the original ilustration is included. This volume is written in two languages, English and German and whilst I had thought of doing all the German conversation in that language it was hardly practical! A compromise was needed so you will find some passages in German, generally where interaction with non-core characters occurs. However a large amount of conversation takes place in German so to denote this you will find those interactions in a lighter type face. I hope you enjoy reading this and look forward to seeing you all in volume 6!It was never the intention to rewrite the volume and you'll find the general flow unchanged. However I hope that this Second Edition is a smoother read and that you'll enjoy this re-edited version.
t would seem that I've been put on a literary path somewhat like George Lucas did with Star Wars. "Rough Waters" is the prequel to "Reconciliation", which in turn was based upon "Notes of a Journey". As such, like "Reconciliation", it is highly recommended your read/re-read "Notes of a Journey", at least up to the point the kids are preparing to leave Grottoes, Virginia. This is to avoid any confusion with references to events that occurred prior to the start of "Rough Waters".The final party at Pru's is winding down....... SH February 2007This print version of Scott's second volume of 'Notes of a Journey' has been extensively reworked from that first seen on my website two years ago. I hope all the work has been worth it!Maddy Bell, January 2020
Previously published as All Things Denied by Scot Hemsley. This is the account of Gaby's emergence beginning with the official release of Drew's infamous 'medical test results' shortly after New Year's 2004 and eventually winds its way to the departure of the British exchange students from Grottoes, Virginia ... after an emotional and life changing visit. For anyone who read the original All Things Denied on my website you'll find that this version is quite a lot different. There are several new sections and not a few revisions. Although Scot has pulled a lot of the storyline from the original, this is an alternate timeline and should be treated thus.
Book 8 in the Gaby saga see's our hero(in) get invited to a wedding, ride a few races and gain am unwanted appendage - a boyfriend! Grab the hankies and pull up a pew for another rollercoaster ride through Drew Bond's life!It was never the intention to rewrite the volume and you'll find the general flow unchanged. However I hope that this Second Edition is a smoother read and that you'll enjoy this re-edited version.I hope you enjoy reading this and look forward to seeing you all in volume 9!
Book 7 in the Gaby saga see's our hero(?) get involved in more escapades than ever - despite setting out to keep life simple!Nearly seven months separate the first and last chapters in writing time but finally it's finished! As in Books 5 + 6 this volume is written in two languages, but rather than complicate matters with type face changes I've left it to you to decide who is using what language! As a general guide when there are mostly German's in the conversation that is the language and visa versa.I decided not to illustrate the standard version of 'Dress Up' so don't think you are missing anything by their absence. It was never the intention to rewrite the volume and you'll find the general flow unchanged. However I hope that this Second Edition is a smoother read and that you'll enjoy this re-edited version.I hope you enjoy reading this and look forward to seeing you all in volume 8!
