    Maurice Merleau-Pontys "Arbejdsnoter 1959-1961" er filosoffens forberedelser og anslag til sit aldrig færdiggjorte ”andet hovedværk”, hvis oprindelige arbejdstitel var "Sandhedens Oprindelse".Dagbøger er disse noter ikke. Han vidste som få, hvad der gemte sig af tanker i disse noter, og kendte til deres dybe originalitet.Merleau-Pontys "Arbejdsnoter" har ikke tidligere været oversat til dansk.
