Now, she wishes he had. This job is way more complicated than just coaching. She is making history, but what will that history reveal? The Team: The Dallas Shooters. Owned by Robert Parasyn. He is actively seeking investors, the offer increasing from 10% to 40% seemingly overnight. What isn't he telling potential investors? Investor: Dillon Lennox is looking into the Shooters team on her father's behalf since he is currently in France at the Paris headquarters of Lennox Industries. Dillon sees Emrick as just another conquest until they actually sleep together. That changes everything for her. This time it's different; more than just fun and games. But Emrick knows the score and what kind of woman Dillon is and she's ready to move on. She's way too busy being under the microscope of public opinion to worry about what Dillon might think. The problem: Dillon digs into the books as part of the due diligence of investing in the team and soon becomes uneasy. It's not something she can point to and say this is off. But there is something wrong and it's hiding just out of sight. She wonders if Emrick is part of it. She wonders if Robert Parasyn is part of it. She wonders what the hell "it" is. She vows to find out, if only to ease her mind that the woman who occupies too much of her mind is not involved. What will she do if Emrick is involved in something nefarious? Will the team flounder or flourish under Emrick's rule? Will the public condemn her just because she's a woman, or will they rally behind her? Will they even give her a chance to find out? And is the team owner just using her as a marketing opportunity until he can get a 'real' coach in there next year? Read on to find the answers. There might be a couple of twists you're not prepared for-or maybe you are. Come find out

The Story: Tee Reed is a very successful businesswoman. She has an MBA from the Cox School of Business at SMU in Dallas. She owns a gay bar plus a building in the entertainment district that encompasses a high-end restaurant, a private club, a ballroom where the annual GLBT ball is held, a spa, and her corporate offices. She meets a lawyer, Carly Matthews, who is successful in her own right at the most prestigious law firm in Dallas. They immediately feel a connection. Tee is the only one who sees past the obvious and into Carly's innermost desires and then proceeds to fulfill them. She is everything Carly has always wanted. And then life happens. Miscommunication happens along with a sexual harassment lawsuit involving both of them. It's the start of the wedge between them that seems to be splitting them apart. Even as they struggle with their lost love, life complicates things in the form of wanting to do the right thing for a client versus doing what the boss says for Carly. Tee concentrates on buying a new bar in the San Antonio River Walk district to keep her mind off Carly. Can they ever get past the past and move forward or are they finished? Excerpt: Once inside Carly's apartment, Tee immediately pinned Carly against the door. Her mouth was hot and demanding as she kissed her. The kiss was rough and bruising with need, while her hands tore at her shirt, pushing it up to expose her flimsy lace bra. Tee sucked her way down her neck, nipping and kissing every inch of the way. She leaned back just enough to pull the top over Carly's head and flick the clasp on her bra. She impatiently swept the garments down her arms and flung them to the floor. With nothing between them, Tee captured her breasts, twisting and pulling at nipples that were already hard as rocks. She looked into Carly's eyes and saw the answering need, the hidden need, the need she never acknowledged. It sent a raging rush streaking through her.

In 1917 Dazzle painting, also known as Dazzle camouflage, was conceived and developed by the celebrated marine artist and then naval commander Norman Wilkinson. Dazzle rejected concealment in favour of disruption. It seeks to break up a ship¿s silhouette with brightly contrasting geometric designs to make a vessel¿s speed and direction incredibly difficult to discern, and thus confuse and deceive German U-boat torpedo-men. Wilkinson¿s scheme led to several thousand ships mainly from Europe, USA and Canada going to sea as the largest painted modernist ¿canvases¿ in the world covered in abstract, clashing, decorative and geometric designs in a myriad of colours. Wilkinson, however, was a conservative rather than an avant-garde artist and this new book explores what really influenced him in terms of developing Dazzle. It traces the development of the Dazzle aesthetic from theory into practice and beyond. It looks at the impact that Dazzle was to have on the modern art movements of Cubism, Futurism and Vorticism, especially in the work of Edward Wadsworth and Wilkinson and his hand-picked Dazzle Section artists. Through an examination of original archival documents, it offers some fresh perspectives into the origins, principles, development and implementation of Dazzle painting, and the competing camouflage schemes. It also examines the claims and counter-claims, and the bitter protracted battle, between Wilkinson and his rival John Graham Kerr for the lucrative ¿Royal Commission Award to Inventors¿. Dazzle camouflage was adopted internationally by the major navies, evolving into the more defined ¿disruptive¿ camouflage, right through to the Second World War and beyond. In the inter-war and post-war periods Dazzle: Disguise and Disruption in War and Art shows how the scheme influenced art, architecture, dance, design, fashion, music hall and theatrical performances and even the exterior appearance of cars. It also features a visual tribute to the vessels that have been painted with brilliant bold patterns inspired by Dazzle to coincide with the First World War commemorations including those by Sir Peter Blake and Tobias Rehberger. The book concludes with an assessment of whether Dazzle painting actually worked and highlights the commodification of Dazzle in fashion and through the sale of a wide range of gifts, prints and merchandise.
