His law enforcement background made him a target among other inmates, especially after he was mistakenly reassigned to a maximum-security prison known as “the snake pit,” where murders were an almost daily occurrence. He began his sentence intending to keep to himself and not interact with the other inmates, but God had another plan. God’s will was for Tom to be His representative in prison and minister to unsaved inmates. Through his obedience, Tom had the opportunity to hold Bible studies and lead more than thirty inmates to salvation.
