Carl Barks og Don Rosa er de vel nok to største serieskabere i Disney-universet, når det kommer til ænderne, og de har i hver deres generation skabt nogle af de mest elskelige historier om vores venner fra Andeby. Carl Barks var hovedleverandør af historier til Anders And & Co. fra bladets start i 1949 og langt op i 60’erne, og det var også på det tidspunkt, at Don Rosa for alvor blev fan af ”Den Gode Tegner”, som Carl Barks tidligt i sin karriere blev kaldt af fansene.
