We are often amazed when our friends tell us stories about their families and their lives. When we hear the experiences they have lived through, the stories may seem unbelievable. Then, we try to sit down and write about our own lives...some of our own scary experiences, or some of our happiest experiences. Jenny Dodds must choose between her family and her love for John Scott. Her decision will lead her to many unexpected events which will affect several characters in the book. Spanning over two decades of history, this moving story delves into the history of the Scottish Border people, the settlements along the St. Lawrence River, and the early settlers of several Adirondack outposts including Chestertown, Newcomb, and Long Lake, New York.

Fundamentals of Balondo Society is a good book that is unapologetically written from a Balondo-centered perspective by Aja Oro, a "Morondo Kpaa" or a true son of the soil, whose undying resolve had been to transfer his people's narrative from the oral to the written culture. In a bid to transfer such information from an anterior source to the newer posterior one, the effort entailed was largely realized through the use a thematic approach, to outline short but detailed accounts of the cultural traditions of his people as well as their migratory patterns across three predominantly West African maritime countries: the Congo, Calabar, Nigeria and then the South-west littoral coast of Cameroon. Interestingly enough, all of the details that have been documented in the book are structured around one main philosophy, which is the empowering of Balondo-bakonja society to still own and protect their Discourse, so that they can continue to be the Center from where all references to Balondo emanates before being disseminated elsewhere. In this context, both the sanctity and authenticity of Balondo-bakonja phenomena will continue to remain inviolable in this world of competing ideas from diverse cultures that are embroiled in the intellectual politics of world domination.

After publishing his last book, A Cosmological Model and Discourse on Human Beings, the author was ready to hang up his pen and spend his final days in quiet contemplation, knowing full well he left the reader one step away from knowing how one goes about achieving entry into paradise. But, sigh, it was not meant to be, for life, both here and there, intervened and pretty much guided him to pen this book for her providing guidance to assist her in achieving this final goal for all of human kind, entry into paradise. Will this be the last we will see from this author? Who truly knows what life has in store for them. Who truly knows what awaits them around the next turn in the road, on the other side of mountain or on a distant shore? So, this time, the author has declined to say one way or the other whether this will be his last adventure in sharing his spiritual inclinations with the reading public or not. Of course, it doesn't mean he is giving up his dream for a little fun and frolic along the way to go with whatever else life has in store for him.
