Bag om King's Legacy
It's summer break, college applications are in, and it's time for Tennessee Russo's next adventure! Tennessee and Gabe, his best friend (and occasionally more), are heading to Ireland where they'll explore the tomb of Oscar Wilde. But before they can make any real plans, Tennessee gets a call from his dad, Henry. The archaeology world is buzzing about a newly discovered ivory found in Israel. The ivory depicts King David receiving a lyre from Jonathan (his lover). David. As in David and Goliath, king of Israel, and a historical figure who scholars have long argued was queer. His relationship with Jonathan is one that even the Bible describes as deep and special. A lyre given to King David by his lover would be a piece of queer history that Tennessee would love to discover. Forget Wilde, they must find this lyre. Soon Tennessee, Gabe, and Henry are tracking clues and solving puzzles all over Europe. They're not alone-other archaeologists, a secret, questionable organization sworn to protect artifacts, and even the Vatican are desperate to claim the king's lyre before Tennessee can. It's a race against time and across centuries as Tennessee Russo once again works to reclaim and shed light on a long-buried piece of queer history.
