Love and Women in Early Chinese Fiction

A study focusing on how women and love are portrayed in chuanqi fiction, a genre of classical Chinese literature, of the Tang dynasty. It argues that the emergence of ""love"" as a theme in Chinese literature is closely related to the historical background of the Tang dynasty.
