Murder on the Brink of War

In the follow-up to Murder in the Old West, we find Jeb Carter working as a cattle rancher, horse trainer, and Texas Ranger. With talk of succession and war looming. Jeb takes a trip to Waco to sell some horses only to get caught up in a murder investigation where the prime suspect is Governor Sam Houston. Jeb must use his gift for remembering things to follow the clues no matter where they lead.
