New Plains Review

- Spring 2014

Bag om New Plains Review

This Spring publication of the New Plains Review has been a combined effort of diverse talents by each of our hardworking student editors. This issue integrates authors with various perspectives and voices from our culture today. We have chosen distinctive entries for our Poetry, Nonfiction, and Fiction sections which highlight topics such as the natural state of life, the emotion of rebellion, and the controversial subject of infidelity. A wonderful aspect of writing is the way in which it allows anyone to voice their unique experiences-no matter how difficult, comedic, heartwarming, or abstract they might be. A perfect example of this colorful abstraction is our selected artwork by Dr. Ernest Williamson III. We keep our writers and audience in mind as we select our stories and edit them. We hope to embolden our readers to write and create, whether it be a short poem about a moment in their lives, a tale with compelling images and creations that don't exist, or creating art that can change our perspective. As dedicated editors with a love for publishing art and the written word, we are confident both our hard work and the authors' multifarious works we have selected are aptly displayed herein. We present the Spring 2014 issue of New Plains Review. Christina Morel and Kaylee Kain Co-Editors-in-Chief
