Bag om The Eternal Triangle
THE ETERNAL TRIANGLE The Dance of Love Paul Smith from a Scenario by Meher Baba. Music by Bob Welsh In 1934, Meher Baba dictated a scenario for a projected film entitled 'How It All Happened' to show evolution, reincarnation and the process of Realization. Many famous people in the film world of that time including the great film producer Gabriel Pascal were involved. In 1934, during a trip to Hollywood, Pascal was contacted by Princess Norina Matchabelli (wife of the perfume manufacturer and silent film star 'Maria Carmi') about a film project based on the teachings of her Spiritual Master Meher Baba. Pascal became very interested in this project, bringing writers Hy Kraft and Karl Vollmöller into helping him work up treatments and even making a trip to India to discuss the project further with Meher Baba. The project after many years of discussion never eventuated, mainly because the dialogue for the script could never be agreed upon. In 1987 Paul Smith received permission from Meher Baba's sister Mani Irani and the Meher Baba Trust to turn it into a wordless dance/film. Bob Welsh composed the music. It is only in recent times that the advance of computerized film effects have made the project a possibility. Not only does it represent the evolution, reincarnation and involution of the soul in the form, it represents the history of dance.
