The Thirty-nine Steps

Richard Hannay is a resourceful engineer from South Africa. His quiet life in London is entirely transformed when discovers a body is his living room and gets caught up in a web of secret codes, spies, and murder on the eve of WWI. He is chased by an international criminal organization known as the Black Stone and whose objective is to start a war in Europe.
