Text in English, French & German. How beautiful are these pilose vulvas that are natural and hairy and not shaven bald. I feel happy whenever I see something beautiful. Many past cultures worshipped vulvas. And its no small wonder that today, vulvas have started again to unfold their magical charms, at least within the world of fine art. So it is that Paramonov''s "angels" appear unashamed of their hairiness, act rather proud of their unshaven, natural beauty.

Issue 12 of Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari's accessible image-based artists' magazine that challenges the limits of the contemporary art economyToilet Paper is an artists' magazine created and produced by Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari, born out of a passion or obsession they both cultivate: images. The magazine contains no text; each picture springs from an idea, often simple, and through a complex orchestration of people it becomes the materialization of the artists' mental outbursts. Since the first issue in June 2010, Toilet Paper has created a world that displays ambiguous narratives and a troubling imagination. It combines the vernacular of commercial photography with twisted narrative tableaux and surrealistic imagery.
The final word on music's greatest legend, in which Philip Norman reveals a John Lennon the world has never seen. With ground-breaking insight into the pain, beauty and frustration that shaped the genius of modern music, John Lennon: The Definitive Biography redefines a legend.John Lennon - the iconic songwriter, composer and one quarter of The Beatles - was a giant of the twentieth century. As the founding member of the world's most successful group ever, he changed lives. The popularity and significance of The Beatles is beyond comparison in our age - in the UK alone, they released more than 40 number one singles and albums. But their impact extended well beyond their music. Their clothes, hairstyles, statements, and even their choice of instruments made them trend-setters from the 1960s to this day, while their growing social awareness - reflected in the development of their music - saw their influence extend into the social and cultural revolutions of the 1960s.Following the painful collapse of The Beatles, John came out a wiser but angrier person. Together with his wife Yoko Ono, he attempted to transform the world through non-musical means. Their bed-in in Amsterdam and Montreal, their black bag appearances on stage, their innocent flirting with political activists and radicals, all received massive media attention. These events were in search of world peace.John Lennon was shot dead by a mentally disturbed fan outside his New York apartment building on December 8, 1980.Featuring previously unseen photographs, this truly is the definitive John Lennon.
Describes the language of video. This title shows how to think like a director, regardless of equipment (amateurs think about the camera, and pros think about communication). It explains the rules developed over a century of movie-making - which work just as well when shooting a two-year-old's birthday party.

One afternoon in 1975, a young photographer named Hugh Holland drove up Laurel Canyon Boulevard in Los Angeles and encountered skateboarders carving up the drainage ditches along the side of the canyon. Immediately transfixed by their grace and athleticism, he knew he had found an amazing subject. Although not a skateboarder himself, for the next three years Holland never tired of documenting skateboarders surfing the streets of Los Angeles, parts of the San Fernando Valley, Venice Beach, and as far away as San Francisco and Baja California, Mexico.During the mid-1970s, Southern California was experiencing a serious drought, leaving an abundance of empty swimming pools available for trespassing skateboarders to practice their tricks. From these suburban backyard haunts to the asphalt streets that connected them, this was the place that created the legendary Dogtown and Z-Boys skateboarders. With their requisite bleached blonde hair, tanned bodies, tube socks and Vans, these young outsiders are masterfully captured against a sometimes harsh but always sunny Southern California landscape in LOCALS ONLY.Holland's skateboard photographs were first shown at M+B Gallery in Los Angeles in 2006. Following the success of the show, his work has been shown in Paris and New York City and used in American Apparel publicity campaigns. Holland resides in Los Angeles.

Published as a collection for the first time, these arresting and poetic and images of Northern Ireland reveal a rarely examined facet of the oeuvre of a celebrated twentieth century war photographer. Akihiko Okamura became a renowned war photographer during the first years of the Vietnam war and later, as he documented wars in Biafra and the Middle East. In 1969, he moved from Southeast Asia to Dublin. From there, Okamura traveled frequently to Derry and other parts of Northern Ireland to document the country's "Troubles." This beautifully produced book brings together for the first time Okamura's Irish work, which was almost entirely unpublished before now. Presented in full page plates without text, Okamura's images are imbued with soft, muted colors that contrast with the violence of the situation in which they were conceived.Brimming with feelings of fear, dread, anticipation, and resignation, these images reveal Okamura's humanity and curiosity, his concern with day-to-day existence, and the absurdities, incongruities, and disruptions of life during wartime: women preparing afternoon tea outside bombed rowhouses; girls dressed in their Sunday best leaving flowers at a roadside shrine; a collection of empty milk bottles destined to become incendiary devices. Illuminating essays by renowned photographic historians place this astounding collection in context with Okamura's larger body of work and situate these images within the history of both the medium and the country.
