This work offers a substantial advance in the study of the macrosyntax of Spanish. Situated in the field of discourse realization, it provides theoretical foundations and a precise methodology. It describes the units of discourse, the new categories that must be taken into account to describe speech (operators, connectors and constructions), and integrates the diachronic aspect, in a dynamic vision of the language.

The contributions gathered in this volume are dedicated to the identification, terminographical description and representation of polylexemic terminological units (phrasemes, in particular phrases and collocations) used in a variety of specialty languages (marketing, chemistry, law, international trade, medicine).

Wie schreiben Französinnen und Franzosen, die über eine geringe Routine und wenig Erfahrung im Schreiben verfügen? Wie gestaltet sich ihr schriftlicher Sprachgebrauch in privater Kommunikation auf den unterschiedlichen sprachlichen Ebenen? Die Arbeit behandelt den Schriftsprachgebrauch weniger geübter Schreiber zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts in der deutsch-französischen Grenzregion auf der Grundlage authentischer, bisher unveröffentlichter französischer Textzeugnisse. Neben orthographischen Kompetenzen umfasst der Prozess des Schreibens lexikalisches, morphosyntaktisches und diskurstraditionelles Wissen, das in den Briefen, Postkarten und Tagebüchern mit unterschiedlichen Funktionen individuell aktualisiert wird. Dabei bilden die im Wesentlichen aus der deutsch-französischen Grenzregion stammenden Schreiber die ihren Alltag prägende Mehrsprachigkeit, zum Teil verbunden mit Biliteralismus, auch im Geschriebenen ab. Der Gebrauch epistolärer Formeln verdeutlicht zugleich individuelle Routinen und ökonomische Versprachlichungsmuster. Vor dem biographischen Hintergrund der Schreiber leistet die Analyse einen Beitrag zur Untersuchung verschiedener Schriftsprachgebrauchsnormen in privater nähesprachlicher Kommunikation. Diese Arbeit wurde ausgezeichnet mit dem Manfred Lautenschläger-Preis zur Förderung der Geistes- und Kulturwissenschaften (2022) der Heidelberger Akademie der Wissenschaften.

Ausgehend vom Konzept der Agonalität als einer breit verstandenen kompetitiven Opposition zwischen zwei oder mehr konkurrierenden Perspektivierungen der Wirklichkeit beleuchtet die Arbeit die Aushandlung konkurrierender Ansprüche auf Gültigkeit und Wahrheit von Aussagen im Diskurs. Im Zentrum der Arbeit steht der eigens geprägte Begriff der «diskursiven Kämpfe», der diese agonalen Aushandlungsprozesse beschreibt und sich mittels eines um Perspektiven der Pragmalinguistik sowie der Kognitiven Linguistik erweiterten diskursanalytischen Ansatzes erfassen lässt. Empirisch werden der Nutzen des Konzepts sowie dessen vielfältige Manifestationen am Beispiel des vielfach als revolutionär beschriebenen französischen Präsidentschaftswahlkampfs 2017 nachgewiesen. Die Arbeit bietet damit nicht nur einen theorie- und ideengeschichtlich fundierten Beitrag zur Explikation eines linguistischen Agonalitätsbegriffs, sondern schafft durch die Entwicklung eines geeigneten theoretischen wie methodischen Rahmens für die sprachwissenschaftliche Untersuchung von Agonalität sowie die exemplarische empirische Anwendung desselben auf den politischen Sprachgebrauch eine neue Grundlage für weitere diskursanalytische und an Agonalität interessierte Arbeiten.

This volume delves into the relationships and limits existing between the syntax, morphology, lexicon, semantics and pragmatics of the Spanish language. Tackling each a specific issue, the ten contributions draw on solid linguistic arguments, which proves their scientific value and will undoubtedly inspire more research in this field.

It could be alleged that present-day French linguistics is characterized by a specific connection between the epistemology of text and that of discourse. The contributions gathered in this volume aim to reconsider this link - or dichotomy? - in light of the latest research developments. They are organized in three parts: the first explores the text-discourse connection, while the second and third tackle the epistemologies of text and discourse.

Las voces de origen portugues en espanol han sido muy poco estudiadas, en comparacion con los prestamos de otras lenguas. Esta monografia responde a la necesidad de contar con datos actuales para conocer mejor la riqueza de los intercambios entre ambas lenguas.La realizacion de esta obra ha requerido del trabajo de investigadores europeos y americanos de prestigio que, desde sus respectivas areas de especializacion, han puesto al dia el conocimiento de unos contactos linguisticos intensos. En los distintos capitulos, se presta atencion a la historia de cada zona, se muestra la permeabilidad de las fronteras, tanto en el espanol peninsular como en el americano, y se analizan las vias de introduccion y difusion de los prestamos. El amplio marco cronologico estudiado se inicia en la epoca medieval, continua con el acrecentamiento de las relaciones debido a la expansion internacional de ambos paises y a la Union Iberica, y llega hasta la actualidad con los dinamicos intercambios que se dan en las zonas de contacto con Brasil.Las aportaciones de este volumen, ademas de paliar la carencia de unos estudios muy necesarios en el ambito romanico, sugieren nuevos enfoques que abren la via para futuras investigaciones.

Les diachroniciens du francais ont le privilege de disposer d'une base empirique large : il existe une tradition ecrite riche et sans discontinuite de plus de deux millenaires. Et pourtant cette documentation n'est pas sans faille : le latin, par son prestige culturel, se maintient durant une longue periode comme seule langue ecrite et les textes de la latinite tardive, par la rigidite de la norme classique, ne refletent que tres partiellement les changements qui s'effectuent dans la langue orale spontanee. L'etape de transition entre latin tardif et ancien francais a proprement parler se derobe de ce fait au regard du chercheur. Le present recueil entend faire avancer l'etat de l'art sur le passage du latin au francais par une approche resolument empirique. Resultant d'une collaboration entre latinistes et historiens du francais, il reunit plusieurs etudes sur les changements morphosyntaxiques et syntaxiques menees a partir d'un corpus latino-francais constitue en vue de ce recueil. Cet ouvrage interessera les latinistes, les specialistes de l'histoire du francais et des langues romanes, ainsi que les chercheurs interesses par les nouvelles approches en linguistique de corpus.

The third volume of the DÉRom contains about forty new lexicographical articles, documenting mainly hereditary Protoromance etyma, but also Gallic borrowings. This volume presents a study of the vernacular tradition of Chirurgia magna, one of the most important chirurgical treatises of the Middle Ages. Alongside an edition of the 15th-century Bergamo vernacular translation, based on ms. MA 501, it provides a historical-linguistic analysis and a glossary meant to illustrate the relationship between Latin and the vernacular in the formation of a medical terminology in the 14th and 15th centuries.
