This Nicanor Parra volume is the first complete anthology, and in a deluxe edition, of the ecopoems of the great Chilean poet, creator of anti-poetry and winner of the 2011 Cervantes Prize. By ecopoems we understand all those compositions of the author dedicated to ecological issues and the conservation of the planet, a cause of which he was a pioneering activist since the middle of last century. The volume brings together creations from such fundamental titles as Poems and Antipoems (1954), Ecopoems (1982) or Political Poetry (1983), and at the same time reproduces in large format the author's visual artifacts, as brilliant and incisive as Joan Brossa's visual poems. This anthology and its commentaries are done by Niall Binns, professor of Hispano-American literature at the Complutense University of Madrid and a specialist in the life and work of Parra.

  • af Pepe Moll de Alba
    318,95 kr.

In turbulent times, when the old has not yet disappeared and the new has not yet arrived, Pepe Moll de Alba invites us to reflect with a revealing gaze in which his pictorial work, delicate and ironic, joins a provocative poetic text. In his work we can perceive the influence of light -and its shadows- and the places where he has lived: from the clarity of his native Barcelona and the one that bathes the Canary Islands, where he spent a childhood marked by contact with nature. From the gloominess of Germany, the country where he was trained as an artist to the golden luminosity of Italy, the place where he acquired maturity as a painter. It is in this contrast and tension that he walks, as if he had naturally merged the Tuscan Renaissance with the Bauhaus, connecting by means of invisible bridges with his Atlantic and Mediterranean roots. Everything Pepe Moll de Alba creates is elegant and sensual, but it is in his honesty and audacity that his modernity lies. Romper viejos hábitos manages to make an autobiographical manifesto a universal theme that invites us to go deeper into ourselves, making a story that makes more sense than ever in the present moment.
