Children have long been known to be particularly vulnerable to heavy-metal exposure. This volume evaluates our existing knowledge on intellectual impairment in children exposed to environmental heavy metals and identifies areas requiring further research.
Children have long been known to be particularly vulnerable to heavy-metal exposure. This volume evaluates our existing knowledge on intellectual impairment in children exposed to environmental heavy metals and identifies areas requiring further research.
This volume, with contributions from a team of multi-disciplinary team experts, addresses the economic sustainability and clean manufacturing methods to deal with the challenges that water scarcity and water quality are imposing on many countries, particularly on Mediterranean arid areas, that are threatening their economic and social development.
By monitoring land, the ocean and atmosphere, operational satellites and in situ data has the potential to predict environmental disasters and measure the impact humans have on the environment. This volume shows how to use this data to produce a healthy environment, improve sustainability, and enhance human life.
