Once a friend of the deceased Colonel Blackwell, he shares knowledge of a buried treasure and plans to be the one to find it, making him even more wealthy and famous than before. While on spring break, the children- James, Jeremy, Stephen, Sheila, and Brandon, rush to gather clues, with the help of Officer McGilley, and Sheryl Bimberton, to solve the Secrets of Dragonhead Lake. One rainy and spooky Halloween night, three brothers- Jeremy, Stephen, and James -set out to explore the mysterious Blackwell Mansion, a legend in the town of Pineville. Their best friends, Brandon, and Sheila, are also eager to have some Halloween fun and agree to join them on the adventure. They eventually form an investigating group that they name PIC⁵-the Paranormal Investigators' Club-5 because there are five of them. But back at the mansion, they face scary supernatural events that make them wonder if they can make it out safely. Luckily, along their journey, they discover the new resident of the mansion and develop a friendship with her. Danielle aids the children in their exploration but has ulterior motives. She is eager to uncover the history of her family legacy, believing the house may have taken her mother! Ultimately, Danielle and the children fight side by side to survive the paranormal and mysterious events inside the enormous mansion.
