Originating from the 42nd conference on Boundary Elements and other Mesh Reduction Methods (BEM/MRM), the research presented in this book consist of high quality papers that report on advances in techniques that reduce or eliminate the type of meshes associated with such methods as finite elements or finite differences.
With the aim to facilitate the dissemination of research from both academia and the industrial community, presented works from the 10th International Conference on Computational Methods and Experiments in Material and Contact Characterisation are included in this book. These papers discuss the latest developments in this rapidly advancing field.
Presented papers from the 11th International Conference on Advances in Fluid Dynamics with emphasis on Multiphase and Complex Flow are contained in this book and cover a wide range of topics, including basic formulations and their computer modelling as well as the relationship between experimental and analytical results.
The maturity of BEM over the last few decades has resulted in a substantial number of industrial applications of the method. The range of applications still needs to be widened, taking into account the potentialities of the Mesh Reduction techniques in general. This volume contains a collection of papers presented at the BEM/MRM 44 conference.
Formed of papers presented at the 20th International Conference on Computational Methods and Experimental Measurements, this volume provides a view of the latest work on the interaction between computational methods and experiments.
The book covers a wide range of topics, with emphasis on new applications and research currently in progress, including: Fluid Structure Interaction; Computational Methods; Multiphase Flow; Environmental Fluid Mechanics; Turbulent Flow; Bubble and Drop Dynamics; Heat and Mass Transfer; Hydrodynamics; Applications in Biology.
Contains the edited versions of the papers presented at the Ninth International Conference on Advanced Computational Methods and Experimental Measurements in Heat Transfer and Mass Transfer. This work features topics such as: natural and forced convection; advances in computational methods; heat and mass transfer; energy systems; and more.
Contains work in the field of fluid mechanics. The basic formulations of fluid mechanics and their computer modelling are discussed, as well as the relationship between experimental and analytical results. Topics include: Convection, Heat and Mass Transfer; Experimental versus Simulation Methods; Computational Methods in Fluid Mechanics; and more.
Reflects the developments in fluid mechanics. This book contains edited versions of the papers presented at the Seventh International Conference on Advances in Fluid Mechanics. It is useful for scientists, engineers and other professionals interested in the developments in theoretical and computational fluid mechanics.
This book presents the latest research in one of the most challenging, yet most universally applicable areas of technology. Multiphase flows are found in all areas of technology and the range of related problems of interest is vast, including astrophysics, biology, geophysics, atmospheric process, and many areas of engineering.
A collection of research originating from WIT Conferences on Computational Methods and Earthquake Resistant Engineering Structures. In its 19th year the CMEM conference continues to provide highest quality research which forms part 1 of this book. Part 2 includes leading research as presented at the 12th edition of the ERES conference.
Including papers from the 9th edition of the International Conference on Computational Methods and Experiments in Material and Contact Characterisation this volume presents the work of selected researchers on the subject. Material and contact characterisation is a rapidly advancing field and this volume contains the latest research.
Composed of papers presented at the 10th conference on Multiphase flow this book presents the latest research on the subject. The research included in this volume focuses on using synergies between experimental and computational techniques to gain a better understanding of all classes of multiphase and complex flow.
Containing the proceedings from the 41st conference on Boundary Elements and other Mesh Reduction Methods (BEM/MRM), this book is a collection of high quality papers that report on advances in techniques that reduce or eliminate the type of meshes associated with such methods as finite elements or finite differences.
Containing papers presented at the seventeenth in a series of biennial meetings organised by the Wessex Institute and first held in 1984, this book includes the latest research from scientists who perform experiments, researchers who develop computer codes, and those who carry out measurements on prototypes and whose work may interact.
This book contains the proceedings of the thirteenth conference in the well established series on Simulation and Experiments in Heat Transfer and its applications.
