This book treats canonical issues about marriage - especially matrimonial impediments. The author is fully aware that some people feel a little uneasy when they hear Canon Law. This is because there is the general perception that it is rigid and restrictive. This book will debunk all the anxiety and fears people have about Canon Law. The topics have been treated in a way that simplifies its understanding without watering it down. It is Canon Law made simple. This means that, anyone who is able to read and write should be able to read this book, fully understand it, and, probably, develop the taste for more Canon Law. Priests are urged to have copies of this book. This is because many of the issues they deal with in their pastoral situations have to do with marriage and family life. This book, then, will equip them to understand some basic canonical topics, so that they can in turn use this knowledge to serve the People of God. The author also encourages all Catholics, especially, Catholic professionals, to get a copy of this book. We do not want Catholic professionals in only secular knowledge, but professionals in Catholic affairs as well. Every priest will tell you how delighted they are when they see their lay people sharing the Catholic faith with others. And who are those who can do it better than Catholic professionals? Marriage counsellors, those preparing for marriage, and those who intend to marry must also make sure they get a copy of this book. It will surely prepare them to appreciate Holy Matrimony as taught in the Catholic Church.
Many Christian women today classify their marriage as difficult or challenging. This is accompanied by feelings of shame, fear, disappointment, and disillusionment that hover over their lives. An inner voice questions if God expects us to submit to a husband who doesn't deserve it. To complicate the situation, others tell us to leave him. Yet God's still small voice whispers, "To this you were called..."Through a personal study of the books of 1 and 2 Peter, Ann McCallum met God and chose to stay in a troubled marriage. Join Ann on the journey to explore what the Bible says to those who truly desire to rise above their circumstances and overcome every challenge to become godly wives.

I coach couples who are in crisis, and even after doing everything according to the proverbial marriage book, some marriages were still falling apart. However, when I began to take them through the process of discovering their original friendship, I started to see them fall in love all over again; marriages began to be restored. In BFF. I help couples journey back in time to become best friends again and see their marriages transcend.

"Discover the keys to upholding your vows while staying sane in this hilariously candid guide to relationships, from the husband-and-wife team of comedian Kevin Fredericks and influencer Melissa Fredericks. Growing up, Kevin and Melissa Fredericks were taught endless rules around dating, sex, and marriage, but not a lot about what actually makes a relationship work. When they first got married, they felt alone-like every other couple had perfect chemistry while the two of them struggled. There were conversations that they didn't know they needed to have, fears that affected how they related to each other, and seasons of change that put their marriage to the test. Part of their story reads like a Christian fairytale: high school sweethearts, married in college, never sowed any wild oats, with two sons and a thriving marriage. But there's another side of their story: the night Melissa kicked Kevin out of her car after years of communication problems, the time early in their marriage when Kevin bordered on an emotional affair, or the way they've used social media and podcasts to conduct a no-holds-barred conversation about forbidden topics like jealousy, divorce, and how to be Christian and sex-positive. (Because, as Kevin writes, "Your hormones don't care about your religious beliefs. Your hormones want you to subscribe to OnlyFans.") In Marriage Be Hard, they provide a hilarious and fresh master class on what it takes to build and maintain a lasting relationship. Drawing on interviews with experts and nearly two decades of marriage, they argue that Compatibility is overrated. Communication is about way more than simply talking. Seeing divorce as an option can actually help your marriage. There's such a thing as healthy jealousy. Real marriage is not automatic. It ain't no Tesla on the open road. Sometimes it's a stick shift on a hill in the rain with no windshield wipers. But if you get comfortable visiting-and revisiting-the topics that matter, it can transform your bond with your partner and the life you're building together. Written for those tired of unrealistic relationship books-and for anyone wondering if they're the only ones breaking all the rules-Marriage Be Hard is a breath of fresh air and the manual you wish existed after you said "I do.""--

This book is my testimony of how God brought me through the most devastating time in my life. When an unexpected curve is thrown into your life, it is not the end. Shattered, weeping, unnamed--- an outcast who gave so unselfishly that nearly two thousand years later, we are still sharing her story, but do we fully know the price of her sacrifice? Her story beautifully overlaps with the author's personal testimony, poured out upon the pages to reignite a sense of wonder and praise. Reminding us that there is beauty in brokenness, God's light will always shine through even the most minor cracks. Both women reached their breaking points, and rather than run; they placed their pain at the feet of Christ. God rewarded their worship with these words, "Daughter, your sins are forgiven. Go and sin no more."
