De er langt oppe over lærredet.Om forfatteren Jørgen Løvgret er selv maler. Uddannet i København. Rejst og udstillet over hele verden. Skrevet flere bøger om sine rejser. Blandt andet 10 år i Provence, hvor han ligeledes fortæller om sine maleaktiviteter og udstillingsmuligheder fra sin bolig og sit atelier i Sydfrankrig. Fulgte i kunstneren van Goghs fodspor, senere Renoirs, Cézannes og nu i denne bog Monets. Bor nu i Danmark.

Frans Hals is one of the most important portrait painters of all time. She featured prominently in the Impressionist exhibitions and defied social norms to become one of the movement's most influential figures.
