A few years before the Ordinance of Villers-Cotterêts (1539), the founding act of the primacy and exclusivity of French in documents relating to public life in the kingdom of France, François Rabelais published his novels Gargantua (1532) and Pantagruel (1534). One of the great founders of this idiom, the author took great pleasure in playing with words, listening to their sound and thus sharing his prodigious wealth. By all accounts, his grotesque style is characterized by profusion, excess and exaggeration. This article focuses on two emblematic figures of exaggeration: hyperbole and the litote.

Seminar paper del año 2022 en eltema Romanística - Estudios latinoamericanos, Nota: 1,7, Universität Mannheim, Idioma: Español, Resumen: En este trabajo se expondrán, por un lado, los antecedentes históricos de los palenqueros y de la lengua palenquera y, por otro, se abordará parte de la frase nominal del palenquero para ilustrar la gramática de la lengua. La tesis del trabajo será: Palenquero y español - la frase nominal en comparación. En primer lugar, se hablará del trabajo en grupo. Para ello, se abordará la historia lingüística desde 1650 hasta la actualidad para tener una compren-sión básica de los orígenes de la lengua, su importancia para los nativos y su relevancia en la época actual. A continuación, se describe la fonología con el sistema fonémico y las diferencias con el español. También se discute brevemente la fonética. Asimismo, se des-cribe brevemente el léxico del palenquero donde se muestra la influencia de las distintas lenguas como el portugués o del africano. A continuación, se elabora el tema individual de la frase nominal del palenquero. El enfoque aquí es la morfología flexiva, la formación de palabras y el marcador del plural. En el apéndice hay dos textos traducidos durante el seminario, que se utilizan como ejemplos. Sin embargo, a menudo no son adecuados como ejemplos.

Research on left periphery phenomena has increased in the last 20 years, resulting in consistent studies from a wide range of languages and a fruitful debate on the functional projections within the CP system. Throughout these years, important contributions have been made on Brazilian Portuguese, especially on wh-interrogative sentences, focalization, topicalization and relative clauses. As for exclamative and imperative sentences, however, there is a considerable research gap in all grammatical levels. Regarding interrogatives, semantic and prosodic studies are still lacking (as well as research on the acquisition and processing of these constructions). This collected volume fills some of those gaps, gathering studies on wh-exclamatives, imperatives and wh-questions in Brazilian Portuguese which approach syntactical, semantical and prosodic aspects of these constructions through a rich and unregistered set of data. They also deliver novel acquisition and diachronic data that will further both the comprehension of Brazilian Portuguese grammar and the ongoing discussions on left periphery phenomena.

These early and preliminary observations from the beginning of the 20th century have been, until now, completed by a few scattered studies. The limits imposed by the often lexicographical sources have undoubtedly restricted the scope of onomastic studies of this type. However, it is worth noting KENNETH (2002) as well as the work of GIRAULT (2006) for the field of anthroponymy in dictionaries of slang French as well as SZECSKÓ (2017) for slangography in the second half of the nineteenth century, specifically the dictionaries published by Lorédan Larchey." Ausgehend von einer eingehenden Beschreibung seiner historischen Entwicklung sollen dessen Besonderheiten erläutert werden. Einen besonderen Schwerpunkt wird dabei dessen Analyse hinsichtlich diktatorischer, beziehungsweise autoritärer Merkmale darstellen. Dieses Herrschaftssystem war nur ein Glied in einer langen Reihe lateinamerikanischer Zwangs- und Gewaltherrschaften. Betrachtet man die Geschichte des Subkontinents, dann fällt auf, dass so geartete Formen der Regierung dort eher die Regel, als die Ausnahme sind. Insofern kann der Einzelfall Paraguay, trotz seiner spezifischen Besonderheiten sicherlich auch als Modell dienen, um einen Einblick in die politische Wirklichkeit und Herrschaftspraxis Lateinamerikas zu gewinnen. Ebenso möchte ich in diesem Rahmen auf den für Südamerika so typischen Begriff des Caudillos und der damit verbundenen, besonderen Art der Herrschaftsausübung eingehen. Dieser eigene Typ der Regierungsform ist zwar in einem besonderen Maß charakteristisch für den amerikanischen Subkontinent, jedoch auch sehr schwierig zu definieren oder abzugrenzen. Sowohl in Paraguay, als auch in den meisten anderen lateinamerikanischen Ländern gab es eine Vielzahl von unterschiedlich ausgeprägten Diktaturen und autoritären Regimen. Ihre Vielfalt ist so groß, dass die exakte wissenschaftliche Definition ihrer Herrschaftsform und die Einordnung bezüglich staatspolitischer Modelle sehr schwer fallen. Die Herrschaft General Stroessners in Paraguay bestand ganze 35 Jahre und ist damit, abgesehen von der Fidel Castros, die längste in Lateinamerika. Somit halte ich es für sinnvoll, anhand eben dieses Beispiels ein Stück der politischen Verhältnisse auf diesem Kontinent zu untersuchen. Wie durch die dortige Vielzahl nicht demokratisch legitimierter Regime deutlich wird, stellt diese Form der Herrschaft sogar heute noch einen besonderen Wesenszug der südamerikanischen Realität dar. Dieser unverkennbare Charakterzug fand schließlich auch Eingang in die Literatur des Erdteils, in einer eigenen Gattung, der novela del dictador.

Im 19. und frühen 20. Jahrhundert wanderten zahlreiche Personen aus Europa nach Lateinamerika aus. So ließen sich auch viele Menschen aus dem deutschsprachigen Gebiet und aus Ländern mit anderen germanischen Sprachen, etwa aus den Niederlanden oder aus Skandinavien, dort nieder. In Teilen haben sich Sprachgemeinschaften bis heute erhalten können. Der vorliegende Band widmet sich solchen Gemeinschaften, die heute Sprachminderheiten darstellen. In zwölf Beiträgen werden hoch- und niederdeutsche Sprachgemeinschaften sowie die dänische Sprachgemeinschaft in Argentinien in den Blick genommen. Dabei werden auch methodische Fortschritte ¿ z.B. durch den Aufbau von Korpora ¿ und neue Forschungsansätze durch Einbindung mehrsprachiger, didaktischer oder ökonomischer Perspektiven aufgezeigt.

The Polish language was brought to Brazil by Polish-speaking peasants who came to the New World in the late 19th and early 20th century. Since then, the language has been developing in relative isolation from the European Polish context.In this monograph, the author focuses on a dialect of Polish still spoken in a remote community in the south of Brazil. The dialect¿s origins, history, and present character are investigated to portray the language as a result of a multilingual process with a specific starting point. On the basis of the original data recorded in the community, the author establishes a viable baseline for future in-depth studies of linguistic phenomena. She pays special attention to the distinct identity of the speakers, which mirrors the dialect¿s distinct character.

Masterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2021 im Fachbereich Romanistik - Lateinamerikanische Philologie, Note: 1,3, Universität Potsdam, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Kann ein bestimmtes Genre eine Sprache verändern? Diese Abschlussarbeit untersucht, inwiefern die Alltagssprache der Dominikaner*Innen sich durch das Genre "música urbana" verändert und inwiefern das Geschlecht, der Wohnort und das Alter hierbei eine Rolle spielen. Dazu beginnt die Arbeit mit einer kurzen Erläuterung der Geschichte der Dominikanischen Republik. Anschließend wird das "espanol dominicano" naher beleuchtet. Hierbei steht insbesondere die Lexik dieser Varietät im Fokus.Anschließend wird die Entstehung der "múisca urbana" erläutert sowie die Verbreitung und die Kritik an diesem Genre vorgestellt. Im darauffolgenden Kapitel wird die empirische Forschung vorgestellt. Begonnen wird mit der Vorstellung der Ziele, der Methodik und des Korpus. Anschließend werden die Vorgehensweise sowie die Einflussfaktoren, die eine Sprache beeinflussen können, näher beleuchtet.Im dritten Unterkapitel wird die durchgeführte Umfrage analysiert. Anschließend erfolgt eine quantitative und stichprobenartige Überprüfung von jeweils zwei Lexemen mithilfe des Korpus "Corpus del Espanol". Danach werden die Ergebnisse der empirischen Forschungsarbeit zusammengefasst und präsentiert.Eine Sprache verändert sich im Laufe der Zeit. Diese Veränderung bezeichnete Ferdinand de Saussure im Jahr 1916 als die Diachronie, welche als Antonym zu der Synchronie betrachtet wird. Insbesondere in der heutigen Zeit ist der Sprachwandel durch verschiedene Einflüsse wie die sozialen Netzwerke oder durch die Medien unausweichlich. Ein möglicher Grund könnte der Zugang zur digitalisierten Welt sein.Folglich ist es heutzutage möglich, schneller auf mehr Informationen zuzugreifen und diese zu verwenden. Vor allem der Zugang zur Musik spielt hierbei eine große Rolle. Seit der Veröffentlichung von diversen Streamingdiensten wie Spotify entstand die Möglichkeit, verschiedene Musikgenres aus der ganzen Welt abzurufen. Insbesondere das Genre "músia urbana" profitierte von derartigen Plattformen.Wahrend vor einigen Jahren dieses Genre bereits in Ländern wie den Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika bekannt war, wurde die Musik jedoch überwiegend in Lateinamerika gehört. Dies änderte sich im Jahr 2016, als die puerto-ricanischen Künstler Daddy Yankee und Luis Fonsi das bekannteste Lied des Genres namens "Despacito" veröffentlichten.
