This book is far more than a Christmas book. As we revisit the characters of the familiar Gospel Nativity stories, we are invited to a new understanding of the Incarnation
Experience the heart of Christmas with Calm and Bright, Peace and Light. Celebrate this season with simplicity by focusing on Immanuel, God with Us. What would happen if each day in December brought you closer to Immanuel? This is a great year to focus on that simple joy. All Is Calm, All Is Bright will take you through the Christmas story from the Old to the New Testament in chronological order. Short December devotionals including Christmas carols, dramas, and true stories--both humorous and poignant--will accompany your journey to the manger. You'll finish on January 6, encouraged to celebrate the Prince of Peace and Light of the World all year long and create new "calm and bright" traditions for you and your family.
"In Days Are Coming, Sivan Rahav-Meir guides us on our journey through the year: How are we liberated on Passover? How do we experience the true joy of Sukkot? What can we learn from Hanukka, Purim, Tu BiShvat, and the fast days? Why do we even celebrate all the holidays and festivals, and how do they enrich our existence in the contemporary world? As one of Israel's leading journalists, lecturers, and authors, Sivan Rahav-Meir has her finger on the pulse of the Jewish world today. Days Are Coming is her collection of short insights for all to enjoy. It is a treasure-trove of thoughts and advice - from Jewish sages throughout the generations, to artists and authors of our own time, as well as personal stories sent to the author by readers from around the world." --

In this gentle retelling of the Christmas story, a little donkey sets out on the long journey to Bethlehem.Along the way he is sneered at by a camel and laughed at by the other animals. Feeling worthless, he begins to stumble and lose heart until a great light guides him to his destination. There he is rewarded for his courage and faith, and learns that the new king loves all creatures. Bernadette Watts' evocative illustrations bring the message of Christmas to life. "This story stresses that Jesus welcomes even the most lowly, and Watts' watercolors overlaid with crayon-like texture are appealing and rustic." -School Library Journal

Men snart begynder mystiske ting at ske.
