Hindu philosophy is divided into orthodox (astika) and heterodox (nastika). The orthodox accept the authority of the Vedas and the Upanishads, while the heterodox philosophical systems deny Vedic authority. The orthodox schools generally include six dar¿anas (view of the divine): Nyaya, Vaisheshika, Samkhya, Yoga, M¿m¿¿s¿ and Vedanta, and the common heterodox schools are Jainism, Buddhism, Ajñana, Ajivika and Lokaiata.The authors of the darsanas are: Vedanta (by Viasa), Yoga (by Patañyali), Sankhia (by Kapilá), Mimansa (by Yaimini), Niaiá (by Gótama), Vaisesika (by Kanada). They complement each other in pairs: ny¿ya and vai¿e¿ika, s¿¿khya and yoga, m¿m¿¿s¿ and ved¿nta.Vedanta ("end of the Vedas") is based on the main Upanishads, the Brahma Sutras and the Bhagavad Gita. There are three main schools within Vedanta, which base their doctrine on the Upanishads: Advaita (non-dualistic), whose main exponent is Shankara (7th century); Advaita Visista (qualified non-dualistic), whose main exponent is Ramanuja (10th century); and Dvaita (dualistic or pluralistic), whose main exponent is Madhava (11th century).

This book invites us to reflection and inner self-knowledge of oneself, to not be so identified with compulsive thoughts and tricks of the ego that in its long march in principle is our worst enemy. It is theoretical and practical in some specific points with meditation exercises, in some moments it will seem somewhat repetitive, but I think it is the way that the concepts and ideas of this book are impregnated in the subconscious, it can in some people lead to criticism and can also transform, each person from his innermost BEING seeks somehow the truth, peace, mood, inner contentment, shared joy and many more states that come from the deep BEING, when the mind is in a state of deep calm the so-called state of no-mind. It comes from somewhere or nowhere, that state called the state of BEING.

It is a book that deals with the multiplicity and complexity that exists in the human mind, its mechanical processes of the ego, making a brief passage from the origin of the Universe, through history, physics and science in general, evolution of the human race.Entering into historical characters that marked an era. It is theoretical and practical in some specific points.It will leave an impression or indifference depending on the degree of introspection and open reading that each person has. Each person is a world apart with its complexities about the vision of life in general. (It's nothing new), at the core of each person is quite a bit of this book. We are all somehow connected, and if these words somehow reach the reader a great change awaits us. We are all awakening to this spiritual wave and current issues that will bring us back to the origin, that we always were and are connected.

The concept called ¿¿Cittä¿ in yoga sutra of Patanjali (YSP) is very close to the term ¿mind¿, of modern psychology however it has a more comprehensive significance and field for functioning. The ¿¿Cittä¿is the constituent of ¿Indriyas¿, ¿¿Manä¿, ¿¿Buddhi¿¿ and ¿Ahamkarä. Indriyas are the organs (sensory and motor organs) of our body, Mind can be an English name given to ¿Manä [if we give the name ¿mind stuff¿ to ¿Cittä], ¿Buddhi¿ means intellect or intelligence and Ahamkara means I-am-ness or ego. In simpler form we can say, Mind (¿Manä), together with the discriminative faculty (¿Buddhi¿), and the egoism (Ahamkara) form the group called Antahkarana (the internal instrument). For cognition to occur, ¿Indriyas¿ (organs) has to have interaction with the ¿Antahkaranä (the internal instrument). Yoga identifies them as constituent parts of ¿Cittä of human. Animals do have ¿Cittä but they lack the discriminative faculty ¿¿Buddhi¿¿. I have developed a cognitive model explaining the concept of mind and cognition as explaind in YSP and has discussed the implication of the model too.

Compared to Ayurveda or Yoga, which by now have been included into western style medical research, V¿stu Sh¿stra is a new subject in the context of European science. This work should be regarded as a kind of first step or preliminary study aiming to bridge the gap between two ways of thinking rooted in two different philosophical and cultural worlds. V¿stu Sh¿stra has been presented in the language of the past days. But this does not mean that it is not valid knowledge. In order to evaluate its relevance for the complicated problems of the present world, we need cooperation between scholars who are equally proficient in Western knowledge as well as in Indian traditional knowledge of Sh¿stras. Only then it can be found out whether and how Indian traditional knowledge of Sh¿stras can be fruitfully used in our modern world. Besides providing the fundamental reasons behind the Vaastu principles, this book also aims to understand these fundamental principles and to analyse the blueprint it provides for a design system.

En nat drømte han, at han var manager for det tibetanske fodboldlandshold. Han var ellers ikke fodboldmanager, og Tibet havde intet landshold. Arbejdet med bogen er financieret via crowdfundingsitet kickstarter, hvor private personer over hele verden har doneret over 200.000 kr. til bogens tilblivelse. Drømme i tynd luft er desuden udkommet på fransk, engelsk, spansk og catalansk.

Overalt i Tibet finder man vidnesbyrd om kulturen og religionen. Der er næppe noget andet land i verden, hvor menneskene med deres kulturelle og religiøse udtryk har præget deres land så stærkt. Oplevelsen af naturen er altid samtidig en kulturoplevelse. Som kontrast hertil står den kinesiske besættelse, som præger dagligdagen for alle tibetanere.I ”Seks rejser i Tibet” fortælles om forfatternes oplevelser på de enkelte rejser over en periode på femten år. Forfatterne har sammenlagt tilbragt hen ved et år i Tibet. I bogen fortælles også om det tibetanske folks levevilkår og kultur og om de økonomiske og politiske forhold, som tibetanerne lever under. Endvidere er der information om, hvad man kan gøre, hvis man vil planlægge en rejse til Tibet.
