\"In den folgenden Blättern möchte ich die Erfahrungen mitteilen, die ich bei der orthopädisch-chirurgischen Behandlung gewisser Nervenkrankheiten im Laufe der letzten 13 Jahre gemacht habe. Es wird sich aus der Darstellung ergeben, daß die Nervenkrankheiten ein Grenzgebiet der Medizin sind, bei welchen sich durch eine geeignete orthopädische Behandlung außerordentlich gute, ja früher ganz ungeahnte Erfolge erzielen lassen. Lag bis vor kurzer Zeit das gemeinsame Arbeitsfeld wesentlich auf dem Gebiete der Kinderlähmungen und deren Folgen, so haben wir in den letzten Jahrzehnten gelernt, auch bei anderen Erkrankungen, bei denen die Mittel der internen Therapie nicht mehr ausreichen, durch entsprechende chirurgisch - orthopädische Behandlung bemerkenswerte Resultate zu erzielen.
