"Tartarin de Tarascon" d'Alphonse Daudet est un roman humoristique qui met en scène le personnage de Tartarin, un homme excentrique de la ville provençale de Tarascon. Tartarin, le héros du récit, est un homme fantasque et vantard, résidant dans la ville de Tarascon, connue pour ses histoires exagérées et ses prétentions héroïques. Malgré ses prétentions, Tartarin est davantage un rêveur qu'un aventurier réel. Il aime raconter des histoires épiques sur ses exploits imaginaires, suscitant l'admiration de ses concitoyens.
