At a critical moment, Naofumi and the others are saved by a young girl. Ost's sacrifice is enough to save them from their battle to the death with Kyo, but Kyo's able to escape to another world. Motoyasu and friends come to a small village to investigate the corpse of a dragon slayed by the Ren, only to find the site turned into a tourist attraction. Soon after, Naofumi takes a dragon girl, targeted by adventurers seeking the dragon's treasure, into his protection. This young girl is soon faced with a harsh truth...and a glimmer of hope.
Naofumi and his friends managed to minimize the damage from the Melromarc wave. But their enjoyment of the celebratory banquet is interrupted when Itsuki picks a fight with Naofumi. With the release of his slaves on the line, a duel between shield and bow begins!
