La obra nos habla del sufrimiento humano y al mismo tiempo del amor. El autor nos acerca con su particular forma de narrar los hechos a una parte de su historia personal, teniendo como resultado una serie de importantes consejos para aquellas personas y familias que tienen a su cuidado un familiar o paciente con la terrible enfermedad del Alzheimer. El alzhéimer no solo va cambiando a las personas que lo padecen; también hay un proceso íntimo de transformación del cuidador.
