There is a constant battle between state governments and the federal government on decisions being made at the federal level and whether they should be made at the state level. The federal government has distinct responsibilities as identified in the Constitution and granted there are issues that have surfaced which is the responsibilities of a central government and rightfully so but there are others situations which are a joint responsibility and there needs to be better coordination between the federal government and state governments. All of these are identified and discussed in this book

Our judicial system is one of the best if not the best in the world but decisions are sometimes made based on opinion or political philosophy not the laws or Constitution as written. Examining the requirements and responsibilities of the various court levels and their authority or jurisdiction will help better understand our judicial system and whether decisions made are in accordance with the law or applicable constitutions

The Federal Communications Commission in the past has made some distinct decisions which do not benefit us as individuals or as a country. The operational philosophy of this organization is identified including the processes, if any that are in place and what needs to change to instill integrity in the operations of this organization.

The Department of Veterans Affairs has had some problems which hopefully are being addressed today but this book is about examining the processes and structure in place in this department. Through this examination whether the principles of integrity exist or needs some revisions changes to enhance the healthcare of our veterans with top of the line healthcare and if it cannot provide this in a timely manner one change has alreadybeen made. Veterans are not restricted to getting healthcare from the Veterans healthcare facilities.

The operations of this organization regarding integrity principles appear to be nonexistent. The decisions that have been made in the past appear to have been more political rather than based on facts. Decisions made in the past have had drastic impact on the economy and us as individuals. This organization needs to be examined in its entirety as to the processes in place and on what information decisions are made. It is important to be protective of our environment but it is also important to weigh the impact of any decisions and whether significant improvement can be accomplished. Evaluating the operations of this department is critical to have a safe environment but also one that is favorable to businesses by not causing increased costs which are not justified.¿

The office of President of the United States and the individual in it has great authority. Instilling integrity in the functions and authority of this office is critical to ensure that the Constitution is not violated by decisions being made. The examination of the function and authority of this office is examined with regards to integrity principles. The details of this book will identify where integrity exist and if integrity is missing in some of the processes currently in place. This book is also being written to identify to those who want to criticize decisions by a President whether he has the right and authority to make the decisions being made. This involves not only those in Congress but also our justice system and individuals who bring lawsuits to circumvent the authority of the President

Today we have a problem with decisions being made by the federal government. Many decisions are being made some of which have a connection to the function and responsibility of the federal government. This is not always the case. All laws, processes and procedures should have a direct connection to the Constitution. Each law, regulation or rule should have a direct connection to the Constitution and if they do not they should not be created. Decisions by the federal government should not impact the rights of states to make decisions for their citizens.

Instilling integrity within the Department of Education and the current mission and operations will be examined to evaluate whether the existence of this department actually exists or whether the current function should be changed. Typically in the past education was a responsibility of state and local governments not the federal government. Education is not a responsibility of the federal government since the Constitution does not identify such responsibility at this level of government

The Department of Commerce is a great resource about the economy but the processes and reports generated must have the principles of integrity within them. The operations, processes and decisions are examined to evaluate whether integrity exist and if not what needs to be changed

Energy is an important aspect and resource for our country. The responsibility of this department is clear and decisions made in the past have hurt the economy based on restrictions put in place. The processes and decisions made are examined to ensure integrity principles are engrained in the functions and authority. Some decisions in the past appear to have been political ignoring the principles of integrity. If there are processes still in place within this department which do not ensure the integrity of decisions they will be identified and suggestions made for required changes.

The subject of quality can mean different things to different people. Understanding quality concepts and what should be done as a business or as an individual not what actually is taking place. The actions of business and us as individuals impacts quality in every decision being made and it is not always in the best interest of customers or companies for which we work. The various details of quality principles, functions and decisions are examined in this book

Our education system has been hijacked by individuals and organizations promoting their political philosophy rather than truly educating the future leaders of tomorrow. Subjects have been removed from school curriculum which has been a basic part of our education system. Examples of these subjects are identified and discussed. Understanding what the term indoctrination really means regarding our education system will open the reader's eyes and perhaps start a movement to take back our education system from those who have hijacked it.

Integrity in the news is not just about the media but also those who report or comment on it. Each of us should be able to draw our own conclusions about events and issues but what is being presented is often does not include all the facts. News reports in many cases only present one viewpoint when both sides of an issue need to be presented or reported for the public to make their own decisions not having the media pushing their own conclusion. The media and journalists have a responsibility to honestly present the facts not their political perspective.

Our Constitution is one document we need to understand what it truly represents based on the content not what individuals or the media want us to believe. The Constitution and the principles within it need to be taught as part of our education curriculum

Instilling integrity in the processes in place in this critical government entity to ensure that accurate information is provided to Congress. The information presented by this entity through reports that have been requested from Congress leaves much to be desired. In the past predictions of the impact of legislative proposals has been way off from the real impact regarding the costs of specific proposals. Congress needs to take the information as factual information is not a part of any reports generated and should not be used in making decisions about legislative proposals. The processes of the CBO are examined and some suggestions provided to instill more integrity in the processes..

Integrity in Congress is sadly lacking in many respects and instilling integrity principles in this institution it is important for us to recognize the actions and decisions being taken by our elected officials and whether they represent true integrity principles. This goes for both major political parties and their leaders

This book about understanding the role of leadership not just those in management levels but us as individuals. Each of us can be and should be leaders in our own right and what that means is presented and discussed in this book. The qualities of a leader are discussed but the main point to remember is that no one can be a leader without followers.
