The return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is drawing near. Jesus warned us to be ready and watching so that day does not catch us unaware. Preceding Jesus return will be a time of great tribulation. At the end of that tribulation period Christ will return, gathering His Children and pouring His wrath upon those who are destroying the earth. A popular theory emerged in about 1830 that postulated that the church would be raptured before the time of tribulation. The doctrine of a pre-tribulation rapture has permeated the culture of the American church embedding itself in church doctrine. To simply address this issue by highlighting the clear reading of Scripture is not sufficient for many people. Examine with me the pre-tribulation rapture theory. Is it sound doctrine or myth? What does the Scripture say? Bob Gunderson was born in 1952 to Joel and Arlene Gunderson. His father was a minister and he was raised in church from the time of my birth. Early in his life he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Shy and reclusive by nature he had a tendence to avoid situations that placed him in front of people. So, it was with reluctantly that he accepted God's call to on his life to teach. The desire to share the knowledge of Scripture that he had been privileged to learn through his dad's ministry and study of the Word compel him to speak and write. Before Jesus departed from the earth He left us with a promise that He would one day return and set up His kingdom on earth. For over two thousand years people have wondered and speculated about how and when this event will take place. Speculation and conjecture have muddied the water. I was born in 1952 the second of five children, the son of Joel and Arlene Gunderson. I grew up in Northwestern Washington State and naturally acquired a love of the outdoors. My father was an Assembly of God minister and through his mentoring I developed a passionate love of the Scripture. Drafted into the army I spent the better part of two years in Germany. In 1980 I married Rachel Fifield and together we raised four children. I have worked as a carpenter, a logger, and a refinery operator, before retiring. My love of Scripture and my interests in nature, science, history, and technology have made me a lifetime learner. I have taught adult Sunday school for years gaining insights into the world around me through the lens of Scripture. In 2020 I authored the book, "Ceding the High Ground".

What subject is there that does not have a moral aspect to it? From the time we are young, we are taught right from wrong. And for Christians, the moral aspect of any situation is the most important.
