Hearing the voice of God is an integral part of walking with God. Without God's voice in your life, it is like walking blind down a dark path. When He speaks with you and you obey, your words and actions will meld into the presence of the Holy Spirit, resonating and reflecting the very will of God and a peace will flow in you like a refreshing river, and a calmness and joy will fill you. For others, you will become like a mirror that reflects the glory of God into their lives. Listening to the voice of God is a fountain of life that knows no end, and you will find an everlasting strength in His words resulting in the fruits of the Holy Spirit which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).
Brendan Murphy was born into the Irish diaspora, returning home to Ireland in 1996, after multiple attempts, just as the Comet Hale-Bopp became visible, leading the way home as the bright light it was. He has lived in the Cooley Mountains in Tullaghomeath, high above Carlingford Lough since 1997, where his sense of belonging and identity have been nourished by the warmth of neighbours and community.Brendan's work as a Business Consultant has taken him to many countries, but it is Ukraine which left a mark on him, never to fade or be forgotten. He built a home away from home. Forged and nurtured friendships, which have seen them through war, turmoil and escape.A year into his separation from his ex-wife, meeting and falling in love with Sophia (not her real name) was what truly grounded him in Ukraine, even if it took them twelve years and two glorious attempts at their marriage. First the green wedding, then the blue. However, new home, family and life was suddenly disrupted by the threat of war and arguments with the Irish government, culminating on the morning Russia attacked where he lived, on 24 February 2022.From that moment, it was a race against time and death, as Brendan, along with Sophia and her family, navigated country roads in a small Skoda Fabia, sheltering in safe houses, and with no documents, hoping to make it to Ireland, before they too would become lifeless bodies, strewn about the roads, as many, horrifically, have done. This is their story.
The Bible speaks of the second coming of Jesus in glory and power and the events that will happen before He returns. As we look around the world we see evil springing forth in abundance and we wonder where it is all going and if His return is imminent. There are many conflicting interpretations of the end time events, but the word of God is singular in its meaning of what is to come. This book provides insight into these events by answering some of the most difficult questions and providing a framework and context in which to build a proper understanding of what is to come. Before Jesus returns, there will be a revival of unprecedented proportions and a restoration of the fear of God that will sweep the earth. Repentance will be the cornerstone of the coming revival and God is going to pour out His grace in overflowing abundance.
This book explores the existence of God through the miraculous works He performs. This writing is a collection of true stories from family, friends and my own testimony. God answers prayer to show us He is there and hearing how God works in the lives of real everyday people will be a source of inspiration and encouragement. If you have never seen God answer prayer, you will be amazed at what what you are about to read. These stories are a small slice of the countless miracles that God has done throughout the centuries. The apostle John wrote, "And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they were written in detail, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books that would be written." (John 21:25) Let these stories grow your faith that God is there and He loves you.
The aim of this book is to bring attention to God's gifts, specifically the charismatic gifts of the Holy Spirit, to encourage people to talk more about God's gifts and to show them how to use God's gifts generously.
