In addition, she and her husband owned a general construction company. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in geography and geology from Clark University, a Master of Arts degree in elementary education from Assumption University and a Master of Science degree in Construction Project Management from the Civil Engineering Department of Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
