While visiting their great Aunt Mountain Mouse, Liam and Hunter enjoyed a hike to Clingman's Dome. Mountain Mouse's friend Yona was right when he thought the boys would enjoy a day exploring the outdoors. Mountain Mouse also used the time to review basic colors in both English and Spanish while enjoying nature and meeting friends on their hike. It is always fun to learn while exploring the world around you!

During a hike on Mingus Mill Trail, Mountain Mouse helps her mouse scouts learn much more than just the history of Mingus Mill. After one mouse scout makes another feel uncomfortable about where they live, Mountain Mouse guides the scouts in not judging the houses where others live. In a full, fun day the mouse scouts learn about different animal homes, taking care of nature, and how mills served an important role in history by supporting the community.

This is a story where Mountain Mouse explores a little history at the National Park site called Cades Cove with her great nephew Liam. While exploring she encourages Liam to count various things they see. Even though Liam believed he could not count, he was happy and confident when Mountain Mouse showed him that he had been counting all day!
