"This is my true and humorous journey, and as a licensed minister my prayer is that itwill help, entertain and encourage." I idolized my father and wanted to be him or be just like him. I wanted to have whathe had; his dream girl (mama) and a family (our family). The way he loved his wifeand children (us) was nothing short of amazing. Mama too. Mama was his Queen andhe treated her that way. I committed at age five to finding and landing my, Mrs.Graham. At age five, I remember thinking: "I wanna know who my wife is gonna be, and I wanna know now!" But every married couple that we knew or saw on T.V. allhad the same last name. None of the girls in my class were named "Graham"! ...This isgonna be harder that I thought!"

Darrel Winston is led by a spirit guide. Unknown to Darrel, he often finds himself in the middle of a crime that is being committed and he is forced to change the outcome. The spirit guide foresees the crime and attempts to change the paths of the suspect and the victim so they never meet and the crime cannot occur but is sometimes unable to act without human assistance. Darrel, unwittingly, becomes the agent that can make the change on the physical plane and he never knows when he's walking into a scenario on which he may have to act. He is helped in a couple of cases by Harry Nelson who is given dreams by his spirit guide and pointed at crimes under the same circumstances. Harry advises Darrel of something he has had a dream about and finds out that Darrel is already in the right place to intercede on the guide's behalf. It remains impersonal through a manhunt for a serial rapist, but in the middle of the hunt Darrel finds out that his son has been abducted and he and Harry join forces to locate and physically save his son.

Harry Nelson had a dream, unremarkable although slightly disturbing, especially since he'd dozed off at his regular job to get it. The dream was nothing new except that he remembered more details of the dream than he usually did. A few hours later as a reserve police officer he is sent on a call where he realizes his dream was an actual event, he was an eye witness to a crime, and he knows who the suspect is. A piece of information he can't use by legal standards even though he confronts and arrests the suspect at the site. What drew his attention to the suspect comes under scrutiny since there was no physical evidence to suggest the man had anything to do with the crime. Harry begins to get more and more dreams, short visual experiences, that are disconnected and meaningless in and of themselves but when he's out doing normal activities of life or at his work, as if déjà vu, the dreams fuse into reality. He sees the disjointed clues of his dreams happening and knows that a crime is about to occur a crime he can prevent. He can't interfere as a law officer, because he has no tangible probable cause, but he can react as an interested person because his premonitions have led him to what is about to happen. He has to learn to struggle with this dilemma. Never given enough of a picture to move on directly, always having to see and recognize the precursors and react to what is about to happen.

But this book confirms my long held suspicion that on any given film set, if you scratch beneath the surface of titles on a crew list, you just might find a visionary artist." Children are being kidnapped off the streets at an alarming rate. Luckily with the information highway and the use of social media, kidnappings today are broadcast to a wider audience faster. That creates more eyes looking for the victim and the suspect in a shorter period of time. Coupled with surveillance cameras and GPS devices, some victims are tracked down faster than in the past, but the trauma of the abduction can't be undone. Police techniques have changed with technology but there are still too many missing or kidnapped people and it takes too long to find them. Nick Landis has four young sons and he was very concerned. He works as a deliveryman during the day and as a reserve police officer on the weekends, which takes him away from his family for more hours than he shares with them. He saw and read all the missing person's reports and, many times, there was no one to fault for what had happened. The kidnappers were just becoming bolder. He had to admit that he was apprehensive about his own family's safety as the boys were getting older and starting to venture out on their own. There had to be a new and better way to protect his children. A faster way to find them if kidnapped. He couldn't lock them in a room or place homing devices under their skin as some people did with animals. He'd checked. Nick knew a psychic, and she had helped the police find a few missing people, although the authorities played down her role in the investigation. After all, it wasn't an accepted police technique that could be proven in a court of law. The two of them conspired through the psychic world to find some of the victims as soon as possible after their abduction. They were surprised with their success rate, but, in doing so, Nick ran against the very laws he was sworn to uphold.

Darrel Winston is a reserve police officer who finds himself walking into crimes before they happen. He needs to react after the assault has begun but his training has prepared him for this and his arrest records soar to the extent that other full time officers take notice. He finds out that his ability is not a fluke, that he is being guided by a spirit guide to the crimes so that he can intercede. He struggles with the rationale and decisions of his spirit guide as he is sent to prevent one crime, but not another that he thinks is more deserving. He begins to understand that he will have no control over where he is sent or used as he gets more involved in stopping crimes. He quits police work and the ability goes away for a number of years before he finds himself running into minor crimes around his neighborhood. A local Sheriff's lieutenant notices that Darrel is always at the scene of the crimes, making a private citizen's arrest of the suspect, so he calls Darrel in for an interview. The lieutenant thinks that Darrel is committing the crimes to gain notoriety until he searches Darrel's background and sees a pattern. Although they don't see eye to eye on the psychic intervention the lieutenant can't dismiss the results and starts to keep a log of Darrel's activities. Darrel's presence at the scene can't always be documented as well as the lieutenant would like, but the fact that he was there when the crime began makes Darrel a witness and a victim.

George Bernard Shaw was known for many things. Perhaps most notably a prolific playwright, Shaw was also a staunch socialist and devoted much of his life to politics, as a fierce advocate for human rights and social equality. Probably one of the most humble men of his times, Shaw turned down a number of awards, including the offer of a knighthood. He does, however, remain the only person to have won both a Nobel Prize for Literature and an Academy Award. This insightful character has been much quoted, both during his life and since his death in 1950. This book comprises many of his thoughts on a variety of subjects.

Generally regarded as one of the fathers of British politics, Benjamin Disraeli remains today one of the most influential Prime Ministers in history. Though fiercely conservative (in fact, centrally involved in the creation of the modern Conservative Party), much of his work in international affairs is still admired by people of all political persuasions. Unlike most politicians of today, Disraeli had much of interest to say on the subject of philosophy, and was very outspoken in his views on mankind and life itself. He remains a much quoted figure today. This book brings together some of Disraeli's most interesting thoughts on a number of different topics.

Mark Twain (actually the pen name of Samuel Langhorne Clemens) was one of the best known and most unique authors of the 19th century. It is for very good reasons that his works have remained popular since his death in 1910. It is perhaps the timelessness of his humour that made Twain such a unique character of his time. Much of what he said and wrote appeals as much to the society of today as of his own era; some would argue even more so. This book brings together some of the most amusing, interesting and thought-provoking comments from this literary genius.
