This is the tale of Jefan and Yahir, two boys who fled Spain's "holy" Inquisition in the early 1500's. Jefan and Yahir inherited innumerable reasons to hate. And separately both these boys fled Spain for the Americas, Jefan went with a Jewish band of pirates and Yahir with a caravan of Moors. These communities intersected upon a mountain of southeast Mexico. I first heard their story while visiting Sephard, the community which evolved from the meeting of these boys so many hundreds of years ago. Sephard still exists within a large series of caves in a mountain in Southeast Mexico. Both its origin and what it's become is unique beyond compare. And perhaps it's all an inspiration of what other communities could become!

What does it mean to be a God-glorifying baseball player? Diamond Gems: Life Lessons between the Lines reminds Christian athletes and coaches of God's mandate to "proclaim the excellencies of Him" while on the field of play. Each chapter teaches a fundamental baseball principle and uses that concept as a means to establish an even greater connection with an essential doctrine of the Christian faith. This book is much more than a Christian devotional about baseball. It is a strong reminder of the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ and how it manifests itself through the life of a Christian baseball player. It is a helpful tool for those who desire to establish a stronger foundation both as a Christian and as a baseball player. David Ray is a former high school baseball coach and currently serves as principal of Lorraine Elementary School in Georgia. He played baseball at the University of Kentucky and has been drafted professionally by the Oakland A's, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the Kansas City Royals. He also earned a Master of Divinity degree at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Education degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Mary Pat, live in Conyers, Georgia, and are the parents of two children, Rebekah and Jonathan.
LOST UNDER THE LION'S SHADOW tells the adventure of two wounded persons thrown together in the face of the dark underbelly of organized crime and relentless terror, as they rediscover who they were created to be. "Lost" is a murder mystery, a travel adventure, a treasure hunt, a love romance, and the story of finding true faith held up against the darkness of true evil. DAVID RAY is the founding pastor of the River of Life Church in Abilene, Texas. He has served in pastoral ministry for 35 years in the West Texas region. He completed his B.S. degree from Asbury University, his M.Div. from Asbury Theological Seminary, and his D.Min. from Fuller Theological Seminary. He enjoys golf, fishing and backpacking. One day he plans to fish the Patagonia region of Argentina. He and his wife Kay have two grown children and three grandchildren.
