SGG 3 analyzes the remnants of scholarship performed by anonymous pre-Aristarchean interpreters of Homeric glosses, collectively mentioned in ancient sources as the Glossographers as well as the fragments of the pioneering textual examination (diorthōsis) conducted by the scholar poet Lycophron of Chalcis on the plays of Attic comedy in the early 3rd century BC Alexandria.

SGG 1 is the first critical and commented edition of the Greek grammarians Antidorus, Dionysius Iambus, Epigenes, Lysanias, Parmenon, Silenus, Simaristus, and Sim(m)ias. Each entry includes a biographical and cultural profile of the grammarian, testimonies and fragments critically edited, translated, and commented on, bibliography, and indices.
