Dans la troisième, je les considère tous deux d'après les faits, afin de m'appuyer sur l'expérience autant que sur le raisonnement. Je dirai souvent des choses fort communes. Mais, s'il était nécessaire de les remarquer pour parler sur d'autres avec plus de précision, je ne devais pas avoir honte de les dire. Les génies, qui ne disent que des choses neuves, s'il y a de tels génies, ne doivent pas écrire pour l'instruction.
