In this book, the internationally renowned graphic designer and artist Gábor Palotai displays a different take on the depictions of animals as figurative illustrations. Every animal is portrayed as an abstract art: sharply outlined in contrast with a pattern in light and dark. The effects of this black and white pattern enhance the impression that every animal is etched into the paper.

In his artist book COSMOS, Gabor Palotai displays a distinct graphic vision of outer space. He turns planets, galaxies, moons, and stars into an abstract art. The book illustrations consist of circles with intense patterns in white, black and orange. Each circle has its own identity from within and yet relates to one another. The optical illusions open up for imagination.
