"My Metamorphosis: In, Through, and Forward" is an examination of adolescence and the various stages of discovery, relish and relaxation, and immeasurable loss and grief. In these stages lie the stories that shape us. The intended audience of my poetry book is today's youth. An important part of drafting my own book has been to acknowledge the uniqueness of the youthful human experience. Written in a diary-esk fashion, my poetry aims to share experiences and thoughts with which other young people can identify. The content divulges the world of adolescence and its inherent struggles. It describes, love, loss, and isolation, which are poignant emotions that young individuals face during this crucial time in our lives.
