Scientific Study from the year 2011 in the subject Cultural Studies - Basics and Definitions, , course: Intercultural Research, language: English, abstract: The quantum metaphorical conceptualization of the world is derived from Heisenberg¿s uncertainty principle and Bohr¿s complementarity principle formulated in the first half of the past century. Both refer to the subatomic world and the understanding of matter and energy. The first postulates that one cannot determine the position and the momentum of a subatomic particle simultaneously. While one can be determined the other eludes and vice versa. The second is referred to as the wave-particle duality. It implies that matter and energy have two complementary aspects, i. e. particles or waves. Whether we consider God and man made in his likeness or the double helix of the DNA with its two strands or the millennia old Chinese yin-yang principle everywhere we find complementary realities that can more fully explain life: physical, biological, metaphysical, philosophical etc.

Yet an alternative approach is challenging, because it requires a human mind with a much wider horizon, willing to go beyond a fashionable quick business fix made possible by quantitative social research approaches. State-of-the-art intercultural research shares these methods. It is dead cat interculturalism. And if the same operations are replicated on diverse cats the same principle still applies, irrespective of the assumed validation of the research by its replication. It cannot guide living cultural phenomena to their solution. Frozen, fragmentary and deficitary residues of real life in its interconnected internal-external relatedness are not representative of life, cultural or other.

The ethnocentric perception is not aware of this interconnectedness, while the cultural or intercultural mindset can have variable degrees of awareness of it but cannot transcend the divisionary logic of this perceiver¿s creative logic. Only the transculturalist is fully aware of the interconnected field, where the perceiver¿s consciousness co-creates the cultural world. Due to his awareness of a culture integrative transcultural dimension of his constitution he can transcend the interculturalists fragmentation of the world by an integrative momentum based on a solid multidimensional scientific axiomatic.

The papers are written in English and German. -------Interkulturalität ist für die Menschheit nach wie vor ein schier unlösbares Problem. Nutzt man jedoch die komparative interkulturelle Forschung, um die diesbezüglichen Erkenntnisse maßgeblicher Zivilisationen der Weltgeschichte in seine Suche nach dem Stein der Weisen des interkulturellen Managements zu finden, so stellt man fest, dass es in allen Kulturen und Zivilisationen Erkenntnisse gibt, die gleich den Speichen eines Rades in einer maßgeblichen Erkenntnis im Hinblick auf ein interkulturelles Panaceum zusammenlaufen. Die Anwendung dieser entdeckten Formel befruchtet die interkulturelle Forschung und optimiert das damit einhergehende internationale Diversitätsmanagement: lokal, regional und global. Dieser Erweiterung der interkulturellen Erkenntnis und Praxis ist diese Pionierarbeit gewidmet. Forscher, Praktiker, Student oder Laie können hier jener Quelle der Erkenntnis fündig werden, aus der sie schöpfen können, wenn sie einen Beitrag für ein nachhaltiges interkulturelles Management im Bereich der Weltpolitik, der Weltwirtschaft und Weltfriedens leisten und sich als Leader und Manager des Kulturellen strategisch optimal positionieren möchten.
