Little Alexandra and little brother Nicholas go out to pick berries in the forest. They get lost and can't return to their village. When confronted by an ugly witch with warts on her nose, they scream in fear. The witch would eat them, but their cries for help wake up the good forest giant Borbas who has been taking a nap. Borbas destroys the witch by stepping on her, turning her into a waffle. He looks forward to eating the witch-waffle with delicious maple syrup.
