The document is an account of a project dedicated to creating an episode inspired by the television series "Space 1999" and the world of "UFO" of 1970. The author tried to involve enthusiasts and professionals to create scenes, sets and even a trailer. However, due to financial limitations and lack of interest from the Italian public, the project ultimately fell through. The author also lists the enthusiastic collaborators who supported the idea, but concludes with the fact that the project has been closed. 1980: Aliens invaded Earth. 1999: The moon broke away from Earth's orbit. But what happened between these two dates? Ufo: 1999 was the name that the Andersons initially wanted to give to Space 1999 (which was initially born from an abortive 1970 project for a second season of the UFO series). Gerry Anderson had in mind a sequel to the said series, in which Commander Straker would have managed to create a lunar base for SHADO much larger than the one operational in 1980. But the idea never found favor with those who should have financed it, so it was first set aside and later revived and drastically transformed. I wrote this short story in screenplay form to then create, together with friends I recruited online, an episode of what are called "fan made" but then, due to lack of funds, the project foundered. The narrative style, the plot, the technology of this version in the form of a story tries to follow that of the two historical series, trying to maintain the simplicity, at times almost naive, of the episodes of those years.
This book introduces new inventory models to support decision-making when cost of externalities are jointly considered along with costs of logistics. Internalization of cost of externalities gives rise to new logistics costs estimates and functions which managers, researchers, lecturers and students should refer in facing with logistics issues.
