The ability to process data and perform complex calculations at high speeds is referred to as high performance computing (HPC). Supercomputers are one of the most prominent forms of HPC solutions. The three main components of HPC solutions are compute, network and storage. These components seamlessly operate together to complete a diverse set of tasks. Computer servers are networked together into a cluster to create a high performance computing architecture. Algorithms and software programs are run at the same time on the servers in the cluster. HPC helps the scientists in understanding the evolution of the universe, predict and track storms and create new materials. HPC also has several applications in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning. It can be used to detect credit card fraud, provide self-guided technical support, and teach self-driving vehicles.
